Sorry if this has been asked to death already.

But I was under the impression it was not going to be in 3D. However I've seen some IMAX sites for some areas state it is a '3D Imax experience'. But IMAX's official site says it's just an 'IMAX experience' and does not mention 3d.

So...are the IMAX scenes going to be in 3D? Or is it just a failed rumor?

I personally hope not... they did that for one of the harry potter's and it was kinda annoying, not a fan of the cheap glasses.

If they are going 3D with this, but if they do, they better do the entire movie 3D...

    i doubt it!

also i saw the original in an imax theatre and it was not a pleasant experience. the detail inside prime's throat etc was pretty incredible, but the close-up shaky-cam on that sized screen was pretty vomit-inducing.

Screw that. I'll wait for the DVD if the movie comes out in 3D.

It was going to be in 3D but presumably it may have been too difficult so they went with shooting in IMAX instead. Besides, if it were, it would still be viewable in 2D.

If it's 3D, I won't be watching it. I can't stand having to wear those stupid glasses, which destroy the colour of the film. And when you choose not to use them, it's blurry and distorted.

I highly doubt it will be 3D though.
