Some have managed to score Ramjet for about as low as $35-$40. Keep an eye out for other auctions. I see there are quite a few others going on right now as well.

Desirability? Wanting to complete the seekers for those who missed out? I'd never go that high for Ramjet though.

I really dont understand this either but there is a sudden glut of people who want to pick up a ramjet to go with dirge and thrust i cant beleive myself that there were that many people who missed out on the original or werent colleting then but it seems that must be the case

This is really making me a little worried about opening my MOSC collection.

Rare-no, beginning to be highly sought after because he was only released in the classics and henkie line, and no KO's have been issued of him(to my knowledge). Plus, out of all the seekers, I think he is the baddest of the group. I guess slipping thru the cracks and going unoticed will eventually get you noticed in the TF toy collecting world.

Doesn't help that both he and Cliffjumper were released at the tail end of the Classics line. I only saw him in stores a few times before Classics were shoved out of the way for the first movie toys.

There has been an explosion of Classics collectors. And with it prices for older stuff has begun to skyrocket.

Pretty much it. I'm really glad I picked up the Henkei version off of BBTS for 20 a few months back.

o Wow!! That price is ridiculous! That price they're asking for I got 3 Seekers out of that price. Henkei Dirge, Henkei Thrust, & Classics Ramjet...... IMO, I think I scored pretty good for Henkei's.

Same here. There were plenty to be had around in my area. And even after the movie line started and when there was a drought of movie figures for a couple of months, all the Wal-Marts in my area put up end caps restocked with only Classics figures.

Same. Back in the days when there were not enough movie toys (I yearn for it even more now), there more Classics restocked. I bought a few more to repaint

Yeah Ramjet and Cliffjumper clogged up the shelves here. I bought an extra Ramjet on clearance at Target for like $6. I kept him in package and sold or traded him on here not too long ago. And it was for a good price.

Really? Ramjet, Grimlock and Cliffjumper were sort of shelfwarmers at the time in Belgium. In fact, I think this is a first. Has there ever been a case of such a widespread shelfwarmer commanding outrageous prices on eBay a few years later?

Oh, and the Henkei version is even more expensive than this.

I remember back in the Beast Wars days Rhinox, Blackarachnia, Tigertron, and Grimlock shelf warming everywhere for months and then disappearing and exploding in the aftermarket.

Wow...this is just nuts. Had I joined this site earlier I would have stockpiled tons of Transformers from the past to make mad cash. Was never in to collecting toys for profit, but this is where it's at. Crazy.

That price is crazy. I've got 7 MIP Ramjets I bought back in '07 to make customs out of (still haven't had time to even make a single one :( ) and I wouldn't think about trying to sell them for $100 each...
