Still very disappointed that it's a repaint of Skyquake. I loved his character design and i'm glad they're reusing it, but as long as they change it a little bit like with Cheetor and Tigatron, i'll be happy.

 

It's a shame that Dreadwing doesn't have a unique CGI model for himself but at the same time it's a little understandable if they didn't have the budget right now to make one for Dreadwing. However some of the more intresting characters from Beast Wars were reused CGI models form other characters like Tigatron for instnece so hopefully it'll be the same for Dreadwing.

Strong feeling it's a money-maker character (repaint they made up with nothing else to do). A character with a whole 12-episode story arc wouldn't just be a repaint of Skyquake. Same with Galvatron, except for the being confirmed part.

And TFP so far hasn't had ANY characters that are repaints of old ones.
Maybe it's prototype colors for Skyquake?

@bolded: We should probably be looking at this the opposite way. Dreadwing is not just a repaint of Skyquake model. Skyquake is nothing more than a repaint of Dreadwing's model.

 

A friend of mine noticed something cool about Dreadwing. His deco is based on the Robot Masters repaint of his G2 mold.

I all seriousness though the colorscheme seems to be inspired by Robot Master Gigant Bomb, who was a repaint of G2 Dreadwing. So I'd guess that it may well be the bot... or rather Con' in question.

 

That's exactly the point. The differences you mentioned with the Beast Wars characters are only in their animation models. The toys were just repaints.

Obviously you know what their animation models look like. Now do the toys look any different other than color? Hell no. You've seen Dreadwing's TOY not his Animation model. He could still end up looking different in the cartoon.

 

They DID mention earlier that Skyquake's comrades would appear later on. Maybe Dreadwing is one of them.

 

But at least those toys had heads or at least substantially different paint jobs. Dreadwing just looks like Skyquake if he were a member of the Blue Angels. I dunno though, it's just a Cyberverse toy. I'll wait to see the Voyager and in-show model first. Although... maybe they're planning on releasing voyager Skyquake as Dreadwing as well?

Starscream's body type is Starscream's (in this continuity). Not Thundercracker's. Not Skywarp's. Starscream's. It fits him, and pretty much only him.

Well, the fact that Dreadwing appears to be a straight repaint of Skyquake gives me slight hope that maybe Hot Shot actually WILL show up somehow.

Also the Ironhide design is waaaaay too sick nasty to not be in the show at some point.

He was only in one episode. Although that makes me think that Dreadwing will look like Quake as Quake was only in two eps.
