Is $60 a good price for an Atari 2600, with 2 controllers, and 12 games

I dunno if 60bones is worth it but then again, I'd see if he would go maybe 12 to 15 cheaper, if not 20 dollars more cheaper. I mean you can buy a reissue NES for that kind of money as well as several games to go with it.

That's a crappy price man, see if he will do 40...look on craigslist you can probably find a waaaay better deal. FYI I've seen most Atari 2600 games go for 75 cents.

I'd say no. Go check any yard sales, flea markets, etc in your area. I picked up a 2600, couple controllers, a couple of the special game specific controllers, and about 20 games for 5 bucks maybe 3-5 years ago. 60 just seems insane to me, unless it's in amazing condition.

Check your flea markets. You're more likely to have working things than the Internet. Plus, even if they don't work, you paid a flea market price, you won't miss those six dollars.

I purchased one from a flea market in 04. Everything worked fine until I smelled something burning around the 2600 while playing Space Invaders. At the end I was out $15 with a busted VCR.

One of my local area game shops would sell you that package for the same price, maybe even a little less. Definitely shop around a bit or see if you can get $15+ taken off.

I'd go with a Flashback Atari if you're not going to grab many more games. That price is a bit high. : \
