Oh I know that and I've got the figure, but the sellers got the limbs, head and groin part all facing the other way than on the figure than they shoud go. What I was wondering is that has anyone managed to do this without resorting to cutting it up, as this way it's more G1 accurate

You may also notice that the way the doors hinge on the roof limits arm movement.

Oh. I miss-read your question and didn't even notice the mistransformation. From what I can tell from pictures, cause I don't have the figure, in order to do this I'm pretty sure it requires a waist joint.

Yeah, I got a Hoist sent to me just so I could attempt this? No help form the geniuses here? Seems like it should be easy enough.

Ok so I just looked at mine. The waist is actually on a balljoint and you can twist it completely around with some pressure on the cab part while twisting. Thought I was gonna snap it but it went. Once that is done though the head seems to sit too low and the arms of course don't bend forward. The pic they have is obviously from a mod and they just don't realize it.

Yeah, So I came to the conclusion after playing around with this guy that you can create the same desired look by just snapping off the arms and legs and reattaching them on the opposite way. Simple enough. However all of the major problems of displaying him this way have already been addressed. Head sits too low, doors don't allow for the arms to have movement, can't figure out how they got the "wings" on the back without dismantling the gun. Other than than, its achievable. ( I wasn't as brave as Cycrolus, and didnt do the waist twist. Feeling its gonna snap was an understatement!) I may get the original mode to play Dr Frankenstein on and come up with solutions to these problems.

I'm sorry to say that it's authentic, just transformed the wrong way.

You may notice that this is an eBay auction. The seller is likely to move or delete the photos soon. I just thought I'd point that out.
