Bad idea I think, but it might work.

I like it as an idea, but, cleaning would be an issue--And spiders seem to like hanging from hanging things..Chances are they wouldn't fall if secured enough, but..Your choice there. Keep a clean room and it shouldn't be an issue.

Sounds like a great idea, but all the pin holes in the ceiling will look stupid after you take them down.

Looks cool. I have the same kind of ceiling as you, I think.
I didn't think you could nail push pins onto it. If they're sturdy
enough, might as well keep it like that.

Push pins are not meant to hold things vertically. Use screws.

Weight isn't a problem. I used fishing line to hang SW vehicles, and even larger 1:18 scale planes, from the ceiling for years with zero incidents. But, I agree with RF about the pins. Use screw hooks.

Heavy duty staples seem like they would work better.

I personally would not do it, but if properly secured it should work just fine.

personally I wouldn't do it... I would just chuck the ones you don't want displayed out of box at the moment back into their boxes and stack them up somewhere...
but it's all up to you

Use screws. Everything else will eventually slip out.
