Same. I once went off on a rant in my Literature class about how all of the "women's" books in Waterstones were all based on cookery and gardening and celebrity gossip, and completely weirded everyone out. XD So I'm glad to know I'm not alone too.

 

Of course there's female Transformers fans! I created a social group for all the female members here on TFW2005. Some keep a low profile, while others -- like me -- are very active on the boards.

I generally get mistaken for a guy, but that's because I tend to type responses that come across as me sounding like one. Then again, I'm a tomboy and don't act too feminine, so... it's no longer such a big deal if I get called a "dude."

 

Whoa, since when did I become the "knowledgeable" female on the boards?

 

Of course there is, there's a group SOLELY for that purpose. But you do make me think; how many of the users on TFW2005 are female?

 

There's 78 that are currently in the Ladies Group, and there's still another handful of them that I've sent invites to join the group who haven't accepted them, so... I don't know what the exact number of female TFW2005 members is.

Probably since you started the ladies group!   You're more likely to be aware of many of the female members here than any of the rest of us.

And watch out, sisters. Me thinks some guys are looking to make new lady friends here! LOL!

 

I may have started the ladies group, but I don't know every single female member on the boards. I usually do my best to keep an eye out for more female members to send invites to join the group, but for the most part you other ladies are the ones to let me know who to send invites to.


As for guys looking for girlfriends here on the boards... sorry, I'm not interested at the moment. Besides that, I have bad luck with relationships online as well as in real life, so it's just not worth it.

I see a lot of PM's (Private Messages... The abbrev. looked kinda weird) in the female fans' future.   Just joking. But I do want to thank the female fandom for sharing this common interest in Transformers without thinking we're weird. It's more than a hobby. Well, to me anyway.

i don't think any guys here have a problem with girls being tf fans. i sure don't in fact i have at least two who are my friends on here. TC and MPL i chat with them once in a while. i just would like to see more girl tf fans. oh before i forget swiftcat prime also and TC you're a smart one don't forget that.

Agreed. Pink fluffy cutesy crap almost always make me want to scratch my eyes out. Give me Transformers or Boondock Saints stuff, hot cars, tattoos and let me go off-roading and snowboarding and I am one happy chick.

It's quite funny when fanboys see my Decepticon tattoo and their eyes bug out. I had one guy tell me how weird I was. Yeah, I get it that it's rare for chicks to like Transformers, but really? Not all girls like frilly pink and Strawberry Shortcake.
