I don't think you'd be able to convert him without the Godmaster engines, so, no, not really.

Well, if he's already in robot mode, and you just want to display him, I'd say go for it.

Of course you can transform him without his Powermasters. You just push the triggers with your fingers.

I say go for it. His accessories are rare. If as you say he has all of his other accessories - such as the radar dishes, three ramps, little buggy, gun, mini-gun, turret and missiles, then that sounds awesome. You can pick up the Powermasters later, though they are quite pricey. Expect to pay around $50 for each. One caveat, most of the other Powermasters won't fit in him. The legs don't snap in like the real ones should.

He's an awesome figure if I do say so myself ;-)

If the other figures are ones you either want or think you could sell, I'd say that's not too bad. I paid about £80 for a loose complete Overlord about 3 years ago.

There's always a point to getting Overlord. :)  What other figures are being offered?

I'd say go for it. £100 for Overlord near complete and a good condition Powermaster Prime alone is worth it. Cyclonus and the others are great extras.

You can also definitely activate Overlord's Powermaster features with your fingers. They are spring loaded, so all you need to do is push in the buttons and "pop" it works.

Or use Powermaster Prime's Hi-Q as a temporary substitute?

Good move. And congrats on getting hold of one of the coolest late G1 Decepticons. Post some pics when you have the haul, I'd love to see what you get!
