So they are. With the auto-resize gone, the photo was so big and blurry on my browser that I literally could not tell the difference scrolling past. Do you have it in a less artifacted version?

 

I'm pretty sure they are just digitally edited. I did something similar with them. Basically picture Mudflap with a body similar to Skids, except with his regular feet, arm sizes swapped to the other side, and the doors on the back of Mudflap.

Mudflap totally has a Chevrolet Trax torso.

 

And door wings.

 

DOTM Mudflap still has the door wings. He more or less retained his old shape despite having an identitcal vehicle mode to Skids.

However yes his torso is wrong, and that's an edited version of the ROTF versions.

But that's the best you'll get. DOTM Twins never had their renders completed. They were cut early on.

they were cut at the last minute not early on. cause Bay did filmed all (or some) of the scenes for the twins for DOTM, but were cut after they concluded filming, meaning they were cut at the last minute, unless by early on u mean early on during Post-Production (and Not early on during Pre-Production)

 

I don't like the idea of people saying Skids and Mudflap are Transformers who are black on the inside. Are we sure there isn't someone who not black that can sound like Skids and Mudflap? I've never met an African who sounded like the twins.

Tom Kenny voiced one of the twins, and he's white. It doesn't change how their characters were approached, however.

Wow, I had no idea the twins whose toys were painted black in the DOTM toyline were black. That's like saying the Black Power Ranger is black in the original tv show.  

 

No. Bay stuck them in that one shot because he was contractually obligated to show the cars off at least for GM. But he had clearly decided not to use them in any serious capacity early on. Their voice actors did not record lines for them, the cars were not present during their big scene with Sentinel Prime and they were never rerendered into their new DOTM color schemes. And he had said early on that they weren't going to be in it. People just assumed he was lying because they saw the cars on the sets. But he wasn't, because they weren't really in the film. He was just required to show the cars.

Well depending if what u said is true or not, but if they were indeed cut after filming instead of just showing them off, then if they were cut during early Post-Production then Bay simply told Tom and Reno that they were cut thus lines werent needed.

You never know what bay was planning, perhaps for the scene they were already in Robot Mode and thus no Transformation scene was meant to be shown. therefore Alt modes werent needed.

Again if they were cut during Early Post-Production, then again Bay could have said ILM that they dont needed those CGI models.

 

It's a shame though. The seen with Sentinel would have been all the more memorable. But I totally understand why Bay pulled them out though.

I personally asked while I was on set of TF3 (i was an extra) and i was told that the twins were never meant to be BLACK and that not all African American people act the way the Twins characters were written to act. the twins were written to be Hipster/ghetto. This in no way means they HAVE to be African American or like some would say, BLACK. Anyone of any color or race can act as the Twins did.
