In the movie, there is cybertronian alphabet subtitle....
thatd actually make a great pet project. the wired article extensively used the typography in the articles graphics.
i've never heard of one,but there has been a klingon dictionary for years...
also,i believe the 2007 movie's cybertronian to be more like kanji,as far as there aren't really enough "letters" onscreen for each to be an english letter, but, instead,an english idea.but then,in war within #1,there is cybertronian that clearly reads "til all are one"in english, just with the letters flipped around,so my "cybertronian kanji" theory may be nothing.
Well, in Beast Wars, all the cybertronian letters used in the series were each mapped to a corresponding english letter forming a working English based Cybertronian alphabet. The guys at mainframe used it to hide secret messages in the lines of cybertronian text you see in the show. I'm not sure where you can find a mapping of the code, but I remember seeing the translations of the secret messages somewhere online a long time ago, so someone online definitely knows.
But for the letters you see in the Movie as well as possibly the Dreamwave comics, they are using a completely different set of Cybertronian symbols.
God, the glory days of a.t.t. here!
They also did it in Beast Machines. In "Fires of The Past", when you see Megatron's lair - all around him are backwards messages in Predacon. "THESE FLOWERS TASTE FUNNY", "WE ARE THE HGANIMATORS FROM HGMAINFRAME" (the "HG" escapes me), "ITS 18 TIME", and "IF YOU CAN READ THIS SEEK HELP".
There used to be a site called the Cybertronian Language Academy that was put together by Jazzy da Sane and WhiteDove01, but it was never completed and last I looked it had disappeared altogether.
It's still there.
What!? How can they do that!? damn
