Is the orange on your classics Megatron fading?

I sold mine off about a year and a half ago when I picked up Henkei Megatron. Over time I kind of regretted it so I picked one up off of ebay a couple weeks ago and I received it in the mail on Friday. Once I opened him up, I noticed all of the orange pieces were starting to fade in different spots (tip of gun, tip of scope, clip on his back, and a little in his leg ratchets) to a sort of dull yellow orange colour.

At first I thought maybe it was sun damage, but he was MISB, none of the other colours are fading and the box looks super case fresh with no fading. Which leads me to believe that maybe it has something to do with the plastic, or perhaps the colour is just more susceptible to sun damage.

I was wondering about this myself. The orange tip of the gun barrel is pretty much white/yellow now, but only that piece of orange plastic. Weird.

Yeah, I saw something about this on wowwiki. They made it sound like you should do something to prevent it from fading, but hell, I think most of people would like it better if it wasn't bright orange. Mine seems to have faded, though I barely remember what the original color was.

You mean smoke of cigarettes? Is that bad for the figures? I smoke in my room but my toys are in a cabinet.

Smoke won't necessarily damage the plastic, it just stains it over time. From what I have heard it is hard to remove.

As far as I know the Megatron I got has been in storage since the dude got it with no light and he does not smoke either. I got a Cliffjumper from him as well and it is dead mint as well.
