Don't get me wrong I love the site I'm not bashing it in anyway it's just with the movie out now and not a whole lot of toys we haven't seen things have been pretty boring news wise. I mean come on Transformers coins? Seriously? There seems to be like a drought of interesting news, I remember back in the day (like not even a year ago) when Universe and Animated news exploded we were getting great news on TFA episodes coming out and seeing stolen Toys 24/7 but lately I haven't seen anything really worth while since like Botcon. I'm not bashing the site I'm saying that the news portion has been kinda boring lately, while everything else is full of win.

A little bit. But it will pick up after a while.

 

Until some stuff starts leaking again. Be it figures from further down the road in the movie-verse, new Animated stuff, info on the next series, etc. I don't expect the news to catch my eye all that often outside of sightings..which only serve to depress me as I fall ever more behind.

 

Just a bit of a lull at the moment. It will pick up when they announce the new Encore's later this year (hoping anyway)  

The movie toy garbage will pass soon enough and we'll be back on track.

 

I tend to agree. But that is really the result of having less options on the market right now. Universe has been put on hold and the Animated series was been cancelled. Not really too many surprises left to get excited about. We know what is left for Animated, and the movie toys are out in full force (so that excitement and anticipation has passed too). By the end of the year things should pick up.

 

The news always seems a bit dry between Botcon and SDCC, though there has been a couple of interesting things. Should liven back up in about two weeks.

I agree. I've been dieing to hear about ROTF leader class starscream. I just wanna see pics. I'm also curious to REALLY know how many Human Alliance characters we can expect to see..yet no real news on that front has shown up. I would also be interested to start hearing about things we may not know are coming with ROTF.

 

Yes. I think, for me at least, it's due to the fact that RotF was simply one event. The news leading up to it was exciting, since it was all new characters and stuff. Of course, now having seen RotF, there's nothing really surprising or interesting left. No new TV episodes, no new not-movie figures, just movie, movie, and MORE movie, with the occasional fan mod, reissue, or other stuff.

Of course, it'll likely become less boring when we get to see pictures of the toys they talked about at Botcon that no-one who wasn't there hasn't seen. I suppose, then, it'll be ironic, in that I've been blaming movie news for making TF news boring yet am thinking it will become less boring with some certain movie-related news.

 

Well, I've got some more toy backtracking to do to keep me occupied until new news comes out. Still need to finish up my Unicron trilogy collection.

 

Also there's nothing interesting going on in Japan. Alternity, transforming USB port thingies, MP-04 re-release, Universe Strafe. And Encore isn't doing much of anything. It's all lame crap! No mainline except for ROTF, no new animated series, just these weird odds & ends.

Right now it's ROTF or nothing. And half of that is repaints.

 

Yeah it is kind of boring but it isn't the site's fault. The news on TFs is right now just kind of well boring. It should become a lot more exciting when we hear about Encore, Universe, or maybe the next cartoon show. But for a while things are going to be a little slower.

 

The ROTF line will be around until sometime early-mid next year, then it will be replaced by the post movie series, which, from all indications of the direction the entire franchise is moving to, will be movie-styled, if not directly movie-based.

Even for TakaraTomy, ROTF is their big business for the year, just like the 2007 movie line (which partly influenced the creation of Encore, whose initial reissues were based around characters who appeared in the movie). So don't be ungrateful for your small favours.

Honestly, you can just stop by once every few weeks and not miss anything important.

 

It's two weeks after the biggest Transformers event in the 25-year history of the franchise, and years of buildup to it.

Surely a small lull in earthshattering new info is to be expected, no?
