My local Target has a ton of them. Is it worth this price?
i say no
If you're not desperate for one, and the store has a ton of them, just wait a little while longer; one of my local Targets dropped them down to $5 and I think a few other people have mentioned that price in the Sales and Deals thread. At that price, it's definitely worth picking up. Otherwise...eh, the mold isn't that bad or anything, but it's not a 'must-have' at only 30% off.
It's not that great a figure by any stretch of the imagination, but if you really want a copy of that mold, go for it. Or, like Scantron said, wait to see if it goes down further.
give it a lil longer and you'll get him for 10 or less
i say he is worth 20......i would LOVE to get one, it is the repaint of the mold i have desperately been waiting for.....but there isn't a target near by and i am broke so i am up shit creek like i was with the ultra magnus/skywarp two pack years ago
I love the fact that Target/Hasbro made this. You get a Japanese homage in the states for 20 bucks. The mold isn't spectacular, But the idea of the toy is. Hope that makes sense.
I probably paid more than that, so sure. It's not a good figure, but somehow the accurate colors make it a pretty rockin' display piece.
if you wanted cybertron prime to have two claw arms then sure. the sale is going on at my target too going for the same price. i think if you wait a bit longer it might go down to 5. if does it will be mine
Over where I am, these are going for USD $20 upwards because retail outlets doesn't carry 'em.
Unless you really want the mold, I'd say wait a little longer. I recently picked up a couple at $5 each.
This is weird, I never thought the mass release version would be the more rare of the two. It seems like everybody wanted the red and blue one and this is the more character accurate.
I think if you have an attachment to the BW II character then go ahead and get it, but if you just want it to have one, then wait and see if they go down any more. Worst case; you keep an eye on them, they don't go down and you snag one at the price they already are. Best case; they go down to like $5 or so and you can grab a whole cart full, set on them for a year, and sell em for a fortune down the road like Classics Skywarp/Magnus, and Classics Devastator; both were clearanced down pretty low and now go for a fortune.
I wanted to find the first one, but I am glad I didn't I had no idea this one was coming. Somehow this one slipped right by me til it was on the shelfs. Snagged it when I seen it. I was geeked man. But yeah, the unaccurate one seems to be the harder to find.
Personally, I wanted the Blue/Red one because it's colors matched better when combined with Cybertron Prime. But it also helped that it has those iconic colors, which meant that every Prime collector needed it.
yeah i was lucky enough to pick up the red and blue one. that's why i'm still waiting on the white leo prime.
I say it is worth $14. I realized the other day how many versions of this mold I have. 1st Cybertron one, the black repaint, Botcon Razorclaw, & the 2 Leo Primes. 5 versions!! Good thing I like the mold. I should try to make a Voltron combination one of these days.
I'm still looking for the red and blue 1 if any1 wants to sell theirs for like 25ish shipped hit me up but yea I grabbed this 1 the 1st time I saw it
I paid full price for the red/blue one, though w/ a $20 Target giftcard from a hotel stay.
The white one I paid $10.
Worth $14? To me yes. I paid more than $14 for an RM Lio Convoy.
I say no. If I see him at 10, maybe I'll get him.
I thought I was the only one who got all 5 of them LOL
