My mint in sealed package SG UMagnus just arrived today, very excited to transform him, the next thing I know his pelvis joint broke off!!! I barely put any pressure. Put some cement glue, no avail. The figure itself feels really cheap. I can even see a white stress mark at his head ball joint at the bottom. Damn, really disappointed as I paid big buck for him too from ebay. Any suggestion on how to fix it?

No idea how to fix but just wanted to say man that sucks. You could mmmmmaybe swap out the part with the RTS version but you'd have to pull pins (or do some painting). Kind of defeats the purpose. You have my sympathy.

    Ebay:
    YouTube:
Glue it, drill straight through it and pin it.

Or, use an RTS one for parts. There's no need to paint, it's just the ball joint part.

Hm, RTS Prime spare part, that sound interesting. Gotta check ebay for him. That pelvis joint seems tough to remove. I would have to open up his body, but I really don't see any screw. Darn it, I'm not a fixer myself, LOL.

Uh, based on your pics, you already opened that up. All you have to do is slap an RTS part on it, or if you want to be color accurate, maybe wait for the Diaclone inspired/cancelled G2 toy repaint of the RTS Prime mold.

Yeah, I only opened up the back pelvis cover and tried to glue it, but it didn't work so well. The other problem is that the pelvis joint seems to attach into the upper body which I can't completely remove it without open the main body. I'm still figure it out on how to do that should I find spare part.

I didn't know there was such talk on diaclone/g2 repaint for the RTS. Color accurate would be nice.

Thanks for link Star Saber! I see G2 RTS pelvis joint will be red. Oh well, when I have time, whichever version is cheaper I'll get that and use it to fix my SG UM. Darn it.

When you say pelvic joint, are you talking about the bar connecting the two legs? Seems unclear from the pic, but I'm guessing it's a dark color which would fit better with Magnus. The blue part for the head will also match better.

I would drill a small hole in both parts, and then cut a screw down to the needed length, and then finally I would screw both pieces together and superglue the bad boy.

Oh, I see now how it's just the ball joint. Yeah that should be pretty easy to swap out actually. And you already have the connecting part opened up.

The ball joint is the broken part. To remove/swap it, I would have to completely remove the entire bar joint. But it gets complicated when one of the bar is actually rooted into the body, see the yellow arrow. I can't seem to find screw to open the body up in order to remove the entire joint and swap it.
