Yea, remember what he said to Megatron. I have worked with you so that our planet may survive. I will never work for you. You would be wise to remember the difference.

no thats not an flying autobot, thats Bay private jet but ended up using on the film as Charlotte Mearing plane (the same jet was spotted on the set of ROTF and was thought to be an autobot (if my memory dont fail), but was revealed to be Bay Plane)

In a word - No. At no point does Sentinel defect from the Autobots. I think the very thought of becoming a Decepticon would disgust him to a certain degree. He is an Autobot that can see no way of achieving his goals without working with the Cons.

Sentinel Prime is only one thing: the rightful leader of the Autobots.

His only mistake was allowing that PTSD basketcase to keep the Matrix.

Sentinel Prime brokered a peace deal with the rightful leader of the Decepticons that would lead to the rebirth of Cybertron.

Optimus Prime disagreed with the terms of that deal, so he murdered both parties involved and anyone else he could.

    There's your extremist.

They were killing Humans and planned to enslave them. I don't think Optimus is an extremist for protecting innocent Humans.

sentinel adressed Prime and his gang as Autobot rebels, which in his tone of voice meant they had turned on him. Therefore sentinel still sees himself as an autobot and only made a deal with megatron. Megatron and the fallen formed the cons which sentinel had no hand in until he realised the war wasn't going to end and then made a deal to keep peace until starscream rightly messed it up, least that's how I see it.

Sentinel played it all emotional when he said to Prime " Never mourn the past young warrior, thanks to you our race still exists "

Yes. Wheelie himself said he doesn't even like being with the Decepticons in ROTF. Both supported and helped the humans get some information in DOTM.

Yes, but are they officially considered Autobots? Also, doesn't every Autobot have to turn into an automobile? Brains turns into a laptop.

I don't think there's anything actually restraining the Autobots from being anything other than cars or recruiting guys that don't turn into automobiles. The Autobots don't seem to mind having them around and Optimus certainly didn't mind taking Jetfire's parts to fly.

The only continuity I can think of where Autobots are pretty much strictly automobiles is Animated. Everywhere else it's fair game.

What I meant was land-based vehicle, so Arcee is fine.

I believe it was as he said it, the group of autobots on earth were technically "rogue autobots" because Sentinel Prime was leader of the Autobots. Don't noone be pullin that "But optimus has the matrix" crap on me, because proven by the second movie, the matrix isnt the official sign of an autobot leadership. Sentinel had superior rank, so when he allied with the decepticons, it was an official truce between autobots and decepticons, meaning that all autobots were allied with decepticons, other than the rogues. SO i believe that sentinel was an autobot. When he sent the message to the world leaders, he said it was a message from "The leader of the autobots"

... So, if he is highest ranked autobot, and none of the other autobots go with him, that means the other autobots technically aren't autobots, they're rogue autobots, so, I think that makes sentinel the only TRUE autobot. I might be wrong... Thoughts?

But he did ally with the 'Cons, so while he was not actually a Decepticons, he was with them.
