Yeah Soundwave has always been my favorite TF, so it doesn't hurt the fact that's he's ma favorite RiD figure.

My wife went grocery shopping at Wal-Mart this morning and brought Cliffy home for me. I really wanted Wheeljack, but she said they didn't have him. Not one to complain about a gift, I tore him open and started playing with him.

I really enjoy him. His transformation is tons of fun, and I love his vehicle mode (I'm a sucker for muscle car alt modes). My only complaints--and they're small ones--are the weird arm articulation and the exhaust pipes on his feet. I understand the arms, but I don't get why they didn't just mold the pipes onto the rear quarter panels instead of the feet. I think the weapon is a little silly, too, but it's no biggie.

I've got both and I like the RID one more. Easier to transform and looks cool anyways.

Yeah, I remember back when food & clothing actually stood a chance when pitted up against toys...

I didn't really want either Cliffjumper, but lately I've considered getting the RiD one. I like his vehicle mode, his weapon, and the shape of his legs looks more accurate to me. Not a huge fan of his face sculpt/colors, and I like the gun hands that the FE has, but I feel like if someone was just buying the toys and ignoring who they're intended to be, the RiD Cliffjumper makes a good bruiser character

Excellent. Glad you're enjoying him. I like RiD Cliff, but I have the First Edition, so he kind of doesn't do much for me other than being another version of Dwayne Johnson for my shelves, which was enough for me to buy him.

I now own PRiD Cliffy and he is pretty nice.
Where FE Cliffy got the arms right PRiD got the legs right.
Intuitive and rewarding transformation with a sweetheart head reveal.

PRiD Cliffjumper is Absolutly worth buying @ retail!

I looked at some pictures of FE Cliffjumper this weekend, and there are definitely some pluses for him. That being said I REALLY dislike FE's legs to the point that I think I'm happier with RID than I would be with FE.

I wasn't going to buy any of the RiD figures, but I caved in and bought CJ and WJ, and they are both 1st rate IMO. Don't know how much better the FE CJ was b/c I didn't get it, but seeing the price its going for I don't really care, I'm happy with the RiD one.

He's still a decent figure. The FE biased people, but he's still pretty good. Small tho!

As someone who owns both figures, I find myself liking the RID one more. The only aspect of the FE that I ever liked was the hand guns, but I find myself caring about those less and less. The RID's got a nicer looking robot mode, with the FE looking better only when you compare the lower arms.

He's very worth it. I bought him expecting to hate him, but he looks great in both modes, and even poses relatively well. He's more show-accurate than the FE, too, even if the FE is probably a better toy.

There's also the ~$30-$40 price difference to factor in.

He's worth what you pay for, yeah. But if you can afford the Takara version then go for that.

IMHO, you should get the Takaratomy version with the Arm Micron, import prices or not! :d
