I was wondering if someone who has the g1 swoop tell me if it is any close to the reissue version.

is the plastic any good, and how close is it to the first version?

    or

is it a piece of crud plastic?

    thanks

If you get it for a good price, then yes. The only problem with the one I have is one of the launchers will not hold on one side of his wing and one one of his hands. It is also missing the chest stcikers, but that is not a big deal.

    It is a knock-off.

It's a KO. It needs a fair bit of work to get it looking perfect, but it can be done.

for $50-ish it's worth it, for $70-ish it's not. i got one, simply for the box, bubble, and asthetic it adds to my collection. i put my g1 swoop in the box, and used teh KO as a base for my diaclone blue repaint. i had a junker swopp around, so i swapped out the centre wing unit and the two fists. now it holds the launchers fine.

    It's a knock-off - so right there I'll say no.

$50 fro a knock off? I think not. Maybe if it is $10-15, yes, but no more than $20.

Technically, it's a bootleg and not a KO.

I saw it briefly at TFCon back in April, looked pretty bad, even for a bootleg, and at $70 I would definitely say stay away. $30ish maybe but anything past $40 is a ripoff.

Wouldn't buy it for anything more than $20.

If they did a Diaclone color version (with the gold chrome on the beak & bird feet) I'd be all over it...as is, not so much :)
