I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on the Powerglide Cyberverse figure. Do you think he is a good stand-in for the classics line? I had the Ultra Class figure but sold him to my friend because he just did not seem to fit in. I remember when I was a kid Powerglide was a mini bot in the G1 series. I just picked up the Cyberverse powerglide and opened him and he should sit on my shelf until the Igear Version or another 3rd paty version drops sometime in the next year.

Does anyone else have the Cyberverse Powerglide on your classics shelf?

He seems decent enough. Only thing I don't like about him are his gimpy looking feet.

Nope not to me. Ultra doesn't fit in either to me. I'll be getting one of the 3rd party ones coming out.

Nope. Doesn't matter that it's a dark red A10. The exposed internals in robot mode are decidedly Paramountish.

In plane mode I think he's perfect for classics, but in bot mode, not really. I'll be doing the same and wait for the upcoming 3rd party stuff..

It is honestly all up to you. I can see how it can and can't. He is in my classics due to me saving up my disposeable income on other bigger things, and picking and choosing my 3rd party stuff that I got the cyberverse one instead of waiting for the igear and the other one.

I actually like the Ultras more. Bright Red or Universe White. Their large and the Transformation is dynamic. Lots of ratcheting and porting.

The cyberverse commander could work, But visually to me If I tried to put him in a display with other minibots, He's going to be one of the most washed out color schemes in classics.

Maybe put him next to Grimlock.

If you willing to overlook the height.

Then yes. I like the toy waaay more than the Ultra Class.

Yea, as goofy as those Ultras are, I still like them a whole lot better than the Cyberverse one. For me the Cyberverse one just doesn't quite fit the look of the classic line. It just doesn't have a cartoony enough feel for me. Gonna be great that we will have a some 3rd party choices in the near future. Really liking how these igear minibots are shaping up.

I personally like the Universe Ultra Powerglide, especially the Red version, as the Classics version. Right amount of detail and frankly the size makes more sense for the alt. mode (I don't give a damn about being accurate to toy sizes as long as the new one is a good toy).

Cyberverse Powerglide looks good with the movie figures, but that's about it.

Agreed. This is another figure who comes very close to filling the gap like ROTF Hoist or Beachcomber almost did, but is ultimately still too Bayformerified to properly fit in with the Classics aesthetic regardless of what G1 inspired paint scheme is being used.

I put him in my classics shelf, to me he's the best powerglid we've had so far and the 3rd party ones both just look awful and as for the ultra sized one... but that is just me, you own him put him on the shelf with your classics and see if it looks good enough to you.

I put him in my classics collection but he doesn't fit in very well. his face looks really bad and his colors are too dark for the bright classics asthetics.

Given how much I care about Powerglide (not much) vs how much I paid for this figure ($5), I'd say he's the perfect Classics Powerglide. Looks good next to Warpath, too.

He's pretty good, especially if you get him this week at Target with the BOGO deal.
