I've just been watching commercials and movies about Looney Tunes and I noticed Michael Jordan is in most of those commercials and made appearances in recent movies.

I'm just wondering is he a Looney Tunes fan or does he just have a contract for doing most Looney Tune broadcasts?

Money drives the train. -- I think its more of a contract thing, than being a fan, but I could be wrong.

    Two words: Space Jam.

A movie most people seem to hate, but I still get a kick out of it now and then.

Space Jam gets far more snash than it deserves. For the record, it's one of my favourite animated movies, standing right up there with TFTM, The Secret of NIMH and Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind. The mix of Looney Tunes with hip-hop and R&B works as well as rock & roll with Transformers, and it's just cool to watch. Definitely an underrated gem.

I recently watched a Nike Commercial starring Bugs bunny and Michael Jordan, and this was aired before Space Jam.

Oh, people had issues with the music? Huh, never really paid attention to the music. I thought people just had issues with Michael Jordan being in Looney Tune Land and the whole space alien slavers thing.

Wha? You said recent commercials. If it was before 1997 then yeah, it was before SJ, but otherwise SJ came first.

Yeah, there is a commercial from 1993 about shoes with Bugs Bunny and Michael Jordan vs Marvin the Martian.

I don't know if I'm aloud to share with you that commercial though, I wish I could.

Well, where did you see it? If it's a youtube link then you should be able to post it here.

I think the bigger question is "Who ISN'T a Looney Tunes fan?"

Huh. The comment I read underneath suggests Space Jam was inspired by that commercial.

And it's kind of sad that I found that commercial more entertaining than even some superbowl commercials these days.

I miss Looney Tunes. Used to get up at 7am on Saturdays to watch that. With a hostess donut or some eggo waffles.

It still comes on Cartoon Network, only time I see it is around 5 AM Central. There's a new series too that comes on right after it.

And what kid didn't like Space Jam? I LOVED it!

Ah, Space Jam. "What kind of Mickey Mouse organization would name its team The Ducks?" Is still one of my all time favorite movie quotes.
