Yeah, pretty much what everyone else is saying. I would prefer to avoid him but if he's going to be anywhere he should be a separate character.

 

I disagree. I think Galvatron doesn't work as a seperate character at all. On the other hand, I didn't really like his transformation in G1 either.

I'd say either introduce him as a time-travelling future Megatron, or don't use him at all.

Megatron > Galvatron.

 

Only if we get Animated Unicron (based on the BW Neo version, with the Animated look).

 

Here's an idea.........Galvatron the Autobot secret weapon!
With the creation of Jetfire and Jetstorm, the top brass among the Autobot armed forces decide to build more military-orientated Autobots in the same vein.So eventually, a secret project is commishioned, a super-powerful warrior designed after Megatron himself......
(In the same way that the Jet Twins are apparently based on studies carried out on Starscream)

He could be the weapon of last resort, used along with a Shadow Guard, a part of the Elite Guard that would'nt actually exist(Wink,wink,nudge,nudge).He could have a special Insignia that is grey and more like a skull, where as the normal Autobrand resembles a human face.

Other facts(sorry, I'm going into fanficton-territory with this post but I can't help my self.):
-has several built-in offswitches, cause he's big,unstable and very powerful
-primary goal is to kill Megatron
-NOT A REPAINT
-design is based on G1, but with that Animated twist

Eventually, he rebells, but rather then just trying to take over the Decepticons, he instead just takes off his Autobrand, forces Perceptor to delete his killswitches and disappears, going to find his own lot in life.

Before leaving, Perceptor nervously asked what he's going to do now and Galvatron just looks at him impassively and says "That's up to me now."

possibly gonna happen, unless i read wyatts interview wrong. He said he had 3 out of 4 of his favorites in animated and they where ratbat, swindle galvatron and waspinator. As far as i know we have two of them right? swindle and wasp. So me thinks we will get galvy.

If we do im going with the rest of you, not a repaint of megs (which i doubt it since wyatt is a massive fan) and a seperate character, not megs got an upgrade. Maybe someone who tried to take over megs position, after all he would look similar and could be wrote in as an understudy or advisor to megs,whilst starscream and megs etc where on earth?

 

Really? Even knowing that Soundwave will come back with a new minion?

 

thats a pretty cool idea, its too bad that animated would never make a story that dark though

Seems like somebody didn't hear the interview where TFA's writer said the new season is alot darker than previous stories!

I don't know. With Megatron and Starscream's Head floating out in space, there's a void in leadership amongst the Earth based Decepticons.

I know Strika is going to be her crews leader and essentially rival Rodimus Prime, there is still a void to fill for someone to take on Optimus' crew.

I'd think Galvatron would fill that role.

An even more interesting angle would be to make Galvatron much like BW Megatron and show up CLAIMING to be Megatron with Lugnut and Blitzwing blindly following him. Then at the Season 3 finale, Megatron shows up and mass confusion breaks out between the Decepticons as Galvatron and Megatron fight it out.

Now that I think about it, if you Transform Leader Class Megatron into vehicle mode and turn him upside down, you do have a cannon mode that could easily be manipulated.

 

Unless galvatron is a seperate character from megs,
then he should not be introed.
The megs to gavatron routine has been overdone in recent years.
Still to much life in megs to change him now.

 

hmm fair point but i just can't picture anything sensible that he'd turn into, assuming they are all going to be instruments of course.

 

He chould be a Brother of Megatron like he's Beast Wars II counterpart.

 

It will be a keyboard guitar with pegs in similar spots to laserbeak so he can hold it. People seem to forget little details like for Soundwave to hold an instrument it needs pegs that fit into the slots in his arms making things like drums or a sax or whatever more difficult than something that is held like a guitar.

 

He wouldn't have to hold a drum kit though and i can kinda see how a keyboard/ keytar could work but hey i guess we'll have to wait and see  

Even if it is ratbat that wyatt talked about i can still see him getting galvatron in there as well somehow and somewhere down the line.

 

I don't think its to early because I really want Galvatron in the show.
