    I have a 80GB iPod.
Of which about 11GB is taken up with music and video.

Don't think I'll be filling it up any time soon :D

May I recommend the game Phase for your pod? It's fairly cheap and pretty fun, a rhythm game by the people who did Guitar Hero 2 and Rock Band.

I figured I'd politely bring it up before Twin Twist realized someone had just bought an iPod and charged in here driven by his growing rockrocket of Euro-RB release excitement. :O

I would like to see that, find it for me or I'll take back those nice things I said about you on the YouTubes.

I had a 20 GB iPod and filled it. I now have a 160 GB. :)  I like ripping my DVDs to it in my free time.

I've had a 40 gig mp3 player for 3 years. it's full, strictly of music, and I could probably use one twice the size. if you've got a big music collection, then it makes sense to have it all on your player. unless you're constantly commuting on public transportation, I don't see the point of having video capability on the players.

I have an 80 gig Ipod, I have 130 gigs of video saved for it on my Cpu, and about 100 gigs of audio on my cpu. I have to decide what i want on it at what time. Eventually our kids will hear 80 gigs REALLY!!! that all it had? It's like when you look back on how much space old floppy disk computers had.

Some things to bear in mind:

A lot of DVDs have music videos that you can rip (legally) to put onto your iPod. I do that all the time.

If you have a TV recording device for your computer, you can record shows and put them on the iPod to watch on-the-go.

There are connectors available so that you can connect an iPod to a TV if you want to use a bigger screen.

Podcasts are awesome (VH1 Best Week Ever, National Public Radio, Rachel Maddow, G4TV, the Onion News Network....)

There are places online where you can find legit free music. If you're into videogame music, check out ocremix.org.

There are browser add-ons that you can use to download content from YouTube and other online video sites. You may have to convert from FLV to M4V, but it's an awesome feature.

So yeah, there's something to be said for having lots of storage space.
