So I have 2 warpaths coming this week. I had initially thought about leaving one mosc and opening the other one. however I like to display my figures in robot mode and alt mode at the same time.

so is there a way to remove the plastic without ruining the card (which I normally throw away anyway) in case someone wants it in the future?

heating up the glue might work, i usually just cut the bubble off with an exacto blade

Is this an attempt at toy-swapping? J/k! :D

^What brr-icy said, usually your average hair dryer will work fine. But I too use the exacto-knife method, it's a lot quicker for me to get to mah toyz!

I started using an exacto knife recently. In years past I didn't care, but when Generations started rolling into stores, I started for some reason.

For the benefit of the topic poster, the exacto knife allows you to cut open the bubble without wrecking the card.

I've been cutting the bubble open with a blade, as close to the card as possible, since G2.

I use a knife or scissors actually, starting at the bottom where the plastic is perforated. I then cut up each side leaving the top of the plastic intact. This allows me to put the figures back in the plastic bubble on the card for a "MOSC" look. I keep my figures out and displayed, but if I ever decide to sell them or just display them in package, this works well. It also came in handy when I moved across country, I put all the figures back in their packaging and they all fit nicely in boxes and protected them too :)

I'm mostly worried about the card, not the bubble. Mostly.

As people already said, cut the bubble as close as to the card as posible, while leaving the top uncut. That way you can preserve the packaging for further MIB use.
