Personally I think these prices are ridiculous as well, but if you aren't in a hurry, there might be someone coming along buying it. And notice these items are MISB and are still in an excellent shape.

    I lol'd at $500 Broadside.

As for the '87 HMs...there was a MISB Mindwipe and Weirdwolf up not too long ago. The former went for $180, the latter didn't even sell at $200.

Heh, some of his prices, while high for live auction, are feasible for an eBay store. He'll be eating listing fees on these for a while.

Selling collectible toys can earn you a living if you have enough connections and know what you're doing.

DO NOT DO: Take out a one million dollar bank loan to start.

This guy is going to lose his house.

A couple months ago a crazy woman was trying to use publicity of a $1 million price tag to sell maybe $10K - $20K in Transformers that belonged to her deceased husband. After many relistings, some hoax-bid "winners" and unmet reserves it ended up selling for like $50K : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230158169603

We all had some laughs, and the fun appears to continue with the buyer who thinks he got a deal.

That woman was so dumb for being insistent on selling the whole collection as one so it wouldn't get split up. What did she think would happen?

It's getting split up, but not very quickly at these prices.

"Million Dollar Collection" buyer is a total moron.
He contacted me because I had inquired on some of the original auction items, and the Million Dollar woman gave him my info as a perspective buyer. After a week of price negotiating, he made, and backed out of 4 deals over a 2-day period. He has no idea what he is doing. He sold a Gem Mint MISB SkyLynx for $1,200.00, and now he has a Jazz that has been opened with the robot points cut out for $1,399.00
And YES---he did mortgage his home to the gills for this auction.......

LOL. After a few months of relisting everyone needs to harass him with ridiculously low offers. Desperation may change his mind on value by then, but hopefully sooner.

I thought all the drama ended after the lady finally sold off the million dollar auction. I had no idea the saga continued.

Holy crap! What kind of idiot would do that?

Same kind of idiot who trolls the stores looking to cash in on the movie, I'd wager.

    :scalper

On what planet are the Terrorcons worth $1300????

Unless that set can magically morph into an unreleased U.S. giftset version, he's SOL bigtime.

I looked at the guys completed items based on what he's sold so far (anything that's complete G1 or MISB) he's made $5293.26 give or take. He's got a long way til he breaks even. I don't know how much he's sold before Sept 9th which is as far back as it goes. I can't believe someone mortgaged their house for Transformers, selling your car for Transformers I can totally understand, putting your kid up on the black market to buy some MISB G1 totally rational, but if he loses his house, he'll have no where to store the figures he put his house on the line to buy in the first place. :)
