Is it just me, or does this "car" seem incredibly stupid?

Not only does it look stupid, but it is not weather friendly. On top of that it's hardly practical for anything other than a golf cart with its limited top speed and overall mileage. A $30,000 golf cart.

Range 31 miles? That wouldn't get me back and forth to work. Top speed 31mph? That would get you killed.

Looks like they took one of those little parking enforcement cart thingys and upgraded it for a small family.

It's a shuttle. It's not designed for speed or long range so I can hardly fault them for that. I CAN fault them for making it ugly as sin.

If I want a Electric vehicle, of any sort, it woudl be a Tesla Roadster. 250 miles on a charge, and can still hit I think 140 or 160, I forget which number.

I fault msn.com for promoting it like it is some sort of huge feat in innovation.

It is a golf cart. With technology that really doesn't impress me, neither does the price tag.

Lot of people in the small towns around here are getting golf carts to go riding around town in.

This is where I went to high school, and damn near everybody owns a golf cart. Golf cart parking spots at the restaurants, golf cart parking lots at the high school, golf cart parades on the 4th of July, miniature golf cart garages built in next to regular garages. It's pretty weird. Right before I left for college, these started to show up. People were paying 5-10K for a golf cart with windshield wipers. Crazy to me.

Ni-MH cells? Not exactly what I would call cutting edge technology. Even RC models are starting to use Li-Po and Li-on batteries.

I'm more interested in that car that runs on compressed air.

Drive that in New Jersey, and you'll get run over.

Course in that thing, a Mazda Miata could run you over.
