It wouldn't be a very effective one if they didn't. Besides They did filming in China, Africa, and Russia. I think they'd have time to shoot shots of decepticons invading there too. Why only invade the US and leave its international allies like England and Japan alone.

The decepticons are battle inept but even a teenager like myself knows to knock down the top dogs before going after the rest.

I think that's doing too much the autobots are suppose too win and there are more decepticons then autobots, so if the bots did win it would be incredibly unrealistic.

Unless Prime can fly around the whole planet and take off every Con's face, I doubt it.

The film or television industry in just about any nation tends to think of itself as the only really important part of the world. So US movies tend put most of the focus on the US or Americans with a little shout out here and there to other regions. The Godzilla movie made in Japan tended to focus on Japan or Japanese people. Doctor Who most of the trips to Earth end up in England. South Korean films tend to be set in South Korea. Even though entertainment markets are global the people making the entertainment tend to think of the local market first.

Ha ha, and battle inept is putting it far to kindly for the total lack of tactics the Decepticons have shown so far. Even Starscream seems to have totally forgotten about the advantages to air superiority between the first and second films.

Big American films = Big American invasion.

They may have a few shots of overseas destinations having robots in them, but Bay's films are essentially a large propoganda/recruitment drive for the US military, so naturally it's going to be set in America and they're going to win.

Actually, no, you don't. Or at least, not directly. Did the Allied forces go straight for Germany during WW2?

If you want to win a war, it isn't by running head long into enemy strong hold. You remove their ability to wage war first. You attack their supplies. If an alien invading force did any degree of research and prep work, they wouldn't just invade the first world countries. They should start with a small, silent force into the areas that supply our energy. The Middle East would probably go first. They take out our oil supply and wait a bit. We burn through the rest, probably even have a few skirmishes over the last drops. Before you know it, we can't fly or use our heavy machines and the aliens can come back and take us out in a lazy Sunday.
