Hello,is Terrorcons leader Hun-Gurrr name adopted from Attilia The Hun?

Hun are nomad from central Asian who attack Europe between 3 and 4 Century, are Hun Gurrr and his terror cons are Transformers nomad like the HUn

Do you think they raid and rob AUtobot civilian like the Hun did in Rome and Europe?

No, it's just a pun on "Hunger"

    You really create bizarre threads.

I'm pretty sure "Hun-Grrr" was adapted from the words "hunger" and "GRRR!!" :)

Extremely doubtful there's a connection, but that's an interesting observation, galvatron1976.

Actually the name Hun-Gurr originates from the emperor known as Genghis Kahn. You see Kahn was always in search for new and tasty recipes. His searches resulted in the deaths of thousands. He would let none stand in the way of his Hun-Gurr for new, flavorful meals.

Cliffjumper was named after either Attila the Hun or one of the wall street guys from the 80s stock market crash. That is the answer to your next most awesome question that makes you the premiere poster in my eyes...

Well, a little bit of imagination won't hurt. I'd like to imagine a dragon mode bot robbing Autobots off their energon

I don't think I'm being to hard here, or asking too much. That same childrens fiction gave us Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Grimlock...the list goes on and on. But Hun-Grrr? Really? I was 10 when he was released and knew the name sucked. Good toy though, lots of articulation in a sea of brick-former combiner limbs.

Since Transformers already had some history of names with more than one meaning, I don't think the possibility of it being deliberate on some level can be entirely ruled out.

Although it doesn't necessarily allude to any specific type of behavior.

Maybe he was named after the "Hunger" song from the movie? (sarcasm if not obvious)

I don't think that some of the names you suggested - if you think about them - are really all that much better. Optimus Prime...essentially "First First" or "Best Best" or "Best First." Megatron means "great robot."

Actually, Megatron is a portmanteau of "Megaton" and "Electronic"

I always thought Hunn-Grr was an awesome name (though as a child I thought it was 'Hunger' and not the stupid spelling, but hey).

It sums up everything the character is all about - he eats ANYTHING, he's always hungry, he's so hungry even three heads can't cram enough food into his massive body fast enough to satisfy his HUNGRRRRRR!!!

    He'll probably eat you too...

I like names with more than one meaning. If only Grapple had been a wrestler as well as a crane. Or he was a wrestling triplechanger and his alt modes were a grape and an apple. :)
