release Masterpiece Ultra Magnus and Masterpiece Black Prime in the US?
Most likely not.
No one knows.
Prolly not. Don't be greedy now, lol we're lucky enough to get grimmy don't push it.
Oh, I thought this was like sitting on Santa's lap. You can ask for anything you want. . .lol
I don't see why, enough people bitch about how Magnus isn't a white Prime (even though he is) and obligatory black repaints.
Besides, Ultra Magnus was released years ago. If he were going to be released in the US, he would have been by now.
Highly doubt it, since I can't see either one of them generating enough interest from the general public to actually sell. Heck, MP Skywarp is a (somewhat) more recognizable character and it's shelfwarming, there's no way armorless Ultra Magnus and
"Black Prime" are going to sell.
That is true Scantron. It would be nice in a limited capacity of some sort though.
Isn't Takara rereleasing him for a third time anyway?
I hope they don't. Whatever retailer carries it would lose more than they did on ROTF Devastator.
Don't push you luck with this. We can only get some Masterpieces in America (and any other areas that aren't Japan), because of their major costs, and the fact a lot of retailer's who are charged with carrying the exclusive toy are reluctant to carry expensive toys of obscure characters. Nemesis Prime (or Black Convoy's) toys are often extremely limited exclusives, so many stores do not have sales records of anyone named Nemesis Prime. Ultra Magnus is often second banana to Prime, and doesn't sell nearly as well.
Don't count on them coming out. If you want them, get the Japanese ones to avoid disappointment / after market markups. Convoy Black Version especially, as he's a limited run exclusive through E-Hobby and his price is probably only going to go up. Also, Hasbro has a history of respecting Japanese store exclusives such as him.
Amen on that. Too much $$$.
best bet buy one know online
That makes sense....
Still would like to see those tow come to the U.S.
In the past it was less than one MP per year, all signs points 2010's Hasbro MP booked for Grimlock. Who knows what's gonna happen in 2011.
To my observation, most MP releases in the US have been warming the shelves and have to be discounted to sell. I've seen it with Starscream, and both 20th anniversary Primes.
That wasn't my experience locally with Starscream but it sure is with Skywarp. I hit five WM stores looking for Bludgeon this weekend and four of them had Skywarps shelfwarming. The fifth never received any.
