I am on the fence about this guy....I want to get Blurr to go with Kup & Rodimus, but he just doesn't strike me as a very good version of Blurr. Before I even waste time and money on him, is he worth getting?

Do you have Drift? If so, do you like the figure's aesthetics? Blurr is a better representation of the Drift mold. The Hasbro version is my personal favorite; Takara's is too bland paint-wise in my opinion. Blurr looks great in static poses, and he comes with a nice assortment of weaponry. Also he's one of the few figures you can find in the stores still. I'd say pick him up and give it a shot. If you get him from Wal-Mart you can open him up, check him out, and take him back for a refund just because you might not like him.

My personal opinion, and this is from being an owner of both because I bought the Generations first, if you can find the United version....... Get that one. It's way better in person than the pictures.

Yeah he's pretty cool. I mean, he doesn't look overly aerodynamic or anything, but the head sculpt is something to behold, and it's the only classics Blurr we're really gonna get.

love it, a lot of these latest classic style characters have been inspired by IDW designs, and All Hail Megatron, for that reason alone, blurr is a must have ESPECIALLY if you have drift, as they are kind of a team.

I love Blurr. Much more than Drift. Sure he isn't very G1-ish, but I'll take this redesign of him over the boxy, bland G1 version any day.

Definitely - pick him up if you have a chance. I really like the way he came out. I usually pose him with both his pistols in hand and that big sniper rifle on his back.

After seeing Gregg's awesome pics, I admit the vehicle mode wins over Hasbro's for paint apps. However, I display 98% of my collection in robot mode. I feel that Hasbro's paint apps win for the bot mode. There's too much merging in the colors on Takara's version in my opinion. Look at the feet, for example. The best win for a Blurr display would be Generations Blurr in robot-mode standing over United Blurr in vehicle-mode.

I don't really have an opinion on Classics-Earth mode vs G1-Cybertron mode, but I LOVE the color scheme on Generations Blurr. All those different shades of blue melding into each other... and his head sculpt's great too

Get him. I love the headsculpt even if it isn't geewunny enough. Reminds me of the Roman god Mercury, which is befitting of a speed demon such as himself.

love the hasbro version, the united is good in car mode, but really bland in robot mode imo. great toy though, the mold is one of my favorite classics

these two make great "bookends" on my shelf. not literally, but i have Blurr on one end of a row of figures and Drift at the other end.

this is a mold i wouldn't mind 2-3 more of in other shades/colors.

Both are awesome. I prefer the United one, as the pictures above show he comes off as a lot of the same blue in photos, but in person he is so much, much better than the photos. He really looks great.

I love that Blurr's an Earth car now. Sharing a mold with Drift (which requires him to be very heavily armed and have some sheath and shoulder kibble) is perhaps not ideal, but certainly is ok. (I'm actually kind of tickled by the double-mold use Hasbro is doing because it's usually a good job.)

Considering that Kup, Perceptor, Wreck-Gar, and even Classics Rodimus were all altered in order to change their alt modes, I'd say that he fits in with them very well.
