I would'nt call myself a geewuner or anything like that. However, the era I identify with the most is G1, mainly the cartoon. Never read the comics or anything. That being said, I feel like drift has no place on my classics shelf. I love the mold and the way he looks and all but I cant seem to find a place for him. where is he at in your collection? Am i missing something?

He's a cool figure and thus earned his keep with the other bots. I only buy what I think is awesome, and Drift definitely fit that.

I've got mine on a shelf with other Classics/Generations figures that don't "fit" into any of my other main displays - Straxus, Thunderwing, G2 Prime, and Dinobot.

You're definitely missing out IMO, I got the Generations Drift then upgraded to United once that came out. Even though he isn't an original G1 character, he did get some love in the IDW comics. Add that with the fact that the Drift/Blurr mold is arguably the best we've gotten from the Generations line thus far, definitely my fave...I think he deserves a place in a Classics/Generations collection. Besides, you can use him to make a sweet battle scene with Bludgeon/Banzi-Tron.

I just use him as Micromaster Roadhandler. Granted the colors are pretty much off, but the face is damn near dead on.

    Yeah.

I just pretend he was in G1 and had a genuinely likable personality.

I'm slotting him in with the G1 main cast since he was created for IDW's G1 comic. Works for me.

See, I got to read up. He is part of G1, in the comics. I want to get the united version of this guy. I almost bought the drift TPG today to have a good reason to own him.

Drift hangs out with the rest of my classics just fine. I put him toward the back and don't display him prominently, but that's where he belongs.

Drift had been in my classics display since his release. Although, I never read the IDW stories revolving around him, I found the Drift figure aesthetically pleasing to me. He has enough classic elements to his design, both robot & car modes, and fits right in with Jazz, Bumblebee, and the gang!

Was telling myself that I would only buy those figures that were previously G1 characters...

But somehow, I ended up with him.

I had him on my Classics shelf until I purchased Blurr. Now I display him in my B/S/T thread! :lol
