I just got a G1 Blitzwing for the first time, and the turret is very very loose. It routinely comes off during transformation. The main body of the toy has a little T-shaped piece that fits into the hole on the underside of the turret piece, but nothing really clicks into place or anything. Is this normal?

its like that, I guess they did it so it was removed easy when transforming Blitzwing to jet mode.

The way the turret is, if you turn it one way, it becomes very loose, if you turn it another, its much tighter. Its just the inside of the plastic meeting the T shape of the cannon pivot. The thing to watch out for though is wear of the feet/tailfins. If you put too much pressure, it wears down the plastic against the metal and makes them super loose.

On the original yes. On the reissue not so much.

You're lucky. My Blitzwing doesn't have a turret period

^So at the moment, you have a 'Wing, right?
when i had my blitzwing as a kid, i misplaced my turret, and for about a day, i couldn't call him Blitzwing anymore. He was just....'Wing. lol.
IIRC my turret was loose, too.

one thing that helped a bit with one of my blitzwings (i have about 30) is put a little glue or nail polish on the T-piece (alternatively wrapping it with a little plastic wrap works almost as well) it'll hold it in place if its super loose

It seems to me I could flat-out superglue it into place. The T-shaped piece will turn, and there's zero chance of losing the turret.

If you like tank turrets as landing gear, sure.

The turret isn't *that* small to lose.

If you're set on it, make sure you can transform it and all first.

mine is pretty tight, the t doesn't move much either, it had very little playwear

there are molded looking wheels on the turret that make it sit flat in jet mode with the landing gear down on the front

    ^This!

What I did as a kid was put clear, "plasticky" tape (not the thinner, more fragile Scotch Tape) along the inside of his cannon part where the "T" slid against. It made it so that there was a tighter grip overall (but not perfect).

I loved Blitzwing G as a kid, but I have to admit that I loved Sandstorm the most out of all the Triple-Changers I owned back then (Sandstorm, Astrotrain, Blitzwing and I think one other).

I wouldn't glue the turret to the t-bar, the t-bar is quite thin, and commonly breaks on BW. The added pressure of having the turret moving it could be fatal.

I'd go down the polish/plastic route.

I'd like to, but it doesn't even clip into anything. It just flops around like crazy.
