The only two Bumblebees I have are the first DOTM (reg. deco) and BBBB. Is First Edition worth getting? I'm thinking of later this year, just giving some kid my DOTM Bumblebee with the gun.

And also, if he is worth it, is the NYCC Bee/Arcee set worth paying the extra money for?

I'd get him. He's really cool, I'm glad I got two so I could give him both his blasters. I consider him the current definitive Prime 'Bee.

And now Hot Shot will be my way of getting the mainline mold, and as a bonus, he'll be more individualized compared with 'Bee.

    Yes to both questions.

I have all three versions of the FE Bumblebee mold, and I like them all. The mold is much much better than it's PRiD counterpart, much more screen accurate. However, it only comes with one blaster. The NYCC version is pretty good - I like the taxi paint scheme, plus the Arcee and kids it comes with are pretty nice too.

He's ok, I just don't like the way the chest won't lock together.

Of course! It's a better representation of Prime Bumblebee

Though you can get the RID version too if you want but I'd go with Hot Shot.

I have him, my first Bumblebee since Classics. He's a good toy and much better than the PRID toy. I'd say get him if you can, but don't pay too much for him, because seeing as how this is Transformers, we'll inevitably get a newer figure down the line, which might be a better figure.

I have the regular First Edition Bumblebee, and he is totally worth it!  He's my only Bumblebee besides Battle Ops Bumblebee. :)

Well, he's in stock as HasbroToyShop, as is the NYCC pack.

That's where I'd get him, plus whatever (P)RiD figs I could.

Thanks for the help. Anyone approve of me donating my DOTM 'Bee to other kids?

Of Course! Donating a toy to someone who might not otherwise get it, is always a good thing... :lol  even with the movie BB toy.

Do you do any ordering through BBTS? If so I think they still have FE Bumblebee for a buck or so less than HTS. So if you already have a pile of loot started, it's a good way to save a buck or two.

As others have said, if you're interested in getting the RID BB mold, go with the hot shot repaint. It's a solid toy and since it's not Bumblebee, there's less Stigma associated with it.

I don't use BBTS, in fact I rarely even use online shopping. Last time I got anything online it was Energon Landmine from eBay.

Well, this is one of the GOOD molds.

I'd say nab the NYCC version from HasbroToyshop I am perfectly content with both figures.

I don't know why you're comparing DotM to Prime Bee as they're completely different and separate characters, but First Edition Bumblebee is simply a better looking figure. But that's it. The transformation, especially in the chest, is fiddly as all hell.

Frankly, I think the mainline Bumblebee is a better toy, even if it's not as visually appealing.

For less than 10 bucks before shipping. FE Bumblebee isn't that good. His shoulders and chest are floppy and I find him awkward to pose.

The shoulders are a tad floppy but so far he's the BEST representation of the show model in toy form.

And yes, he's an entirely different beast, character and toy, than the movie figure. Although they appear similar their transformations are entirely different, especially in the upper body part.

He's a good figure and I absolutely recommend him. The transformation is really interesting and he has good articulation. The RiD version might be a bit more user-friendly however, and is less fiddly. It doesn't look as good however.

At least my FE BB holds together nicely, everything in his chest has some place to lock or fit in.

Okay, so I'll save up for him and Arcee in the NYCC pack.

    Shouldn't be hard.

for under $15 shipped, hell ya, it's slightly bigger than the prime bee and finally a car bot that doesn't wear the roof on its back. mine was kinda floppy and leg kept popping off the ball joint, but overall worth it.
