Seeing how the BotCon repaint is tempting me to get one of his cheaper redeco's, I'm wondering if I should get it. However, he's pretty expensive on Ebay and I heard this mold has a fair amount of fragility. Is he still worth getting?

 

once i figured out how to transform i leave him in bot mode.....for me he was really cool.....at first but fast went to...shelfwarmer...but thats just me....but i do like the way mine looks with sharkitron...they make a colorful team

I have Mirage, and I think he's an excellent toy. Really good transformation, and very posable.
The only really "fragile" thing about him is his mid-thigh swivels; they tend to pop out, but they just pop right back in again.

 

He's a nice toy - both bot and altmodes are well designed/engineered, and have lots of play value.

 

He's alright, not outstanding by any means but a solid toy for sure.

 

Awesome mold, easily one of my favorites. The transformation, I thought, was a bit hard the first time but once I got it down it's great. Makes a great leader of my Decepticon Navy, very menacing looking figure... GET.HIM.EITHER.ONE.JUST.DO.IT. (lol, highly recomended)

 

I can't say I was ever fond of all that crap hanging off his arse, but beyond that he's pretty nice.

 

He's definitely one of the better ones from the Energon line.

 

Wait, Energon Dreadwing is a boat?

 

I really like him. He is in the top 20 of all I own. I like the "Manga" look to him.

 

To be fair, the boat has wings.

 

I've got them both. They're nice molds, I personally like the sound effects, they're very posable, and they look great. However, the Transformation can be a pain, the arm "wings" can get in the way, and the hull bits can be annoying.

Personally I prefer Dreadwing to Mirage for the more uniform colorscheme, and he was one of the first TF's to have those kind of "Tribal tattoo's" before those became far too common.

 

I'm curious, what more recent bots have tribal tats?

*Not exactly tribal markings, but not that far off from them either; kind of a close enough.

Honestly, I'd say no. I have him & could care less about the mold. I'd love to just get rid of it if I could.

 

the energon ships... personally in my opinion, are ALL worth getting. the sharkticon, tidal wave, even omega supreme. too.

so of course i think dreadwing is worth getting  

ships, is something that transformers do not have much of. so just the mere fact of their rarity alter modes, to me makes them worth getting.
