Hello ,is Doubledealer a powermaster from G1 a evil Autobot ?
Are he a spy sent by Decepticon to spy on Autobot just like Punch and Counterpuch spy sent by Autobot to spy on Decepticon ?

Are all Autobot suppose to be good guy ,why Doubledealer is a bad guy and Autobot let him to wear the symbol of Autobot ?

    Thanks.

I'm not sure it was ever established one way or the other, IIRC. WE know Punch was an Autobot who could become a Decepticon, but Doubledealer wasn't in G1 that I remember, so it's kinda up in the air.

The IDW version is kinda just out for himself....

Doubledealer is neither an Autobot nor a Decepticon, but an unaligned Transformer who poses as one or the other.

    Certainly true of Masterforce.

In that series he was a human who could become either and simply went with the side that interested him more - the Destrons. He had an attack of conscience later on and swapped sides.

In the Marvel comics, Doubledealer was a mercenary; neither side knew he was working for the other, since he kept his 2 identities completely hidden.

Lets be honest here though - if you fight only for selfish reward, then you have more in common with the bad guys of a cannon than you do the good. I see Double Dealer as simply being a Decepticon whos loyalty can be bought - for a while...

Nah, he just seems like the kinda guy that doesn't give a damn about ideals of either side, and is doing his own thing - only, no one knows about it.

just because someone is a jerk, doesn't mean they're in with the local villain group.

Not necessarily; in the UK Marvel G1 comics Death's Head worked solely for financial gain, and he ended up thwarting one of Unicron's nastiest schemes.
