Is DOTM on your Top 2011 Film List or Worst 2011 Film List?

    That sucks. I enjoyed the theater experience of ROTF and love watching the action scenes over and over. Can't watch it all the way through though. DOTM I enjoyed a lot, although there are some really boring scenes in the first half.

    There are scenes here and there - I enjoy the Shanghai sequence and forest fight, and some random scenes. I can throw it in and watch it even though I think it's a mediocre mess and even have fun while doing so.

    I only bought DOTM for the highway chase and dreads fight sequence though -without that I'm 100% sure I wouldn't own it. And I don't watch it all the way through like I do the other two - if I watch more than the dreads stuff, it's a few Chicago scenes. ROTF is actually more watchable for me.

    Worst film of 2011 for me. Hey, at least it wasn't as bad as ROTF, IMHO.

    Its the only DVD movie I have in complete series, 2-disc special editions..... :D

    Bottom with the worms six feet under.
    It scares me that this movie is alot of peoples fav movie of all time.

    I have a list of 2011 movies that I enjoyed a lot more than DOTM.

    1. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (U.S.)
    2. Drive
    3. Moneyball
    4. Young Adult
    5. The Ides of March
    6. Colombiana
    7. Super 8
    8. Captain America
    9. Cowboys vs. Aliens
    10. J. Edgar

    DOTM wouldn't make it into my Top 10, but I'd probably have it as 11th or 12th if I provided a Top 20 list.

    It's not in my Top 10, but to my surprise, it will probably make it into my Top 20. It wasn't the greatest film, but I wouldn't necessarily put it into any "worst of" lists for 2011.

    DOTM only made it to the top of my list because I valued the CGI and design over plot and characterization. When it comes to plot and characterization, then I could easily find better movies. However, DOTM made it into my Top 10 of all time because for me, it delivered what it promised, like what ROTF initially did.

    Y'know, that's a really good way of putting it. At this point, if you watch these movies and don't get what you want out of them, you should stop wasting your money. As long as Bay is in charge, like it or not, they're gonna be the same. Amazing awesome action, frantic and complex plots that are all explained in a matter of minutes, some funny/interesting characters and some annoying ones, and robots killing each other.
