I know the fansproject add-on kit for Ultra Magnus has only been out for a couple of years, but do you feel it is the most "must-own" figure of its time? I mean the pure demand for classics ultra magnus is astounding. Last summer, the ultra magnus and skywarp 2-pack was going for about $100, now it is going for about $160. Let your circuits marinate on that one.

It certainly is a highly demanded set. $160? WOW. I got mine for $75 shipped last year.

Well since Hasbro is releasing the missing seekers this year, I would have said the 2007 Botcon set. Only because of all the Hasbro hate threads that seemed to go on for years.

^ Well that will depend on how you count your decades, won't it? For the 2000-2009 decade, this is probably a contender. I am pretty careful with my TF buying and I still had to have it. It also popularized the idea of combining a Hasbro figure with a high-quality add-on (which was friendly to all consumers, not just customizers).

You don't have to sell it for $160. You can be a nice transformers fan and sell it to me for a very cheap amount! :D

I still feel the must own figure is MP Prime. I would rate MP Grimlock, MP Megatron and MP Starscream ahead of FP Magnus. I must admit though that I am not as big of a fan of the piece as many here. Imagine what the price would be now for MP Prime if there had not been multiple reissues of it.

Not for me. I only buy Hasbro/Tak official product, not fan stuff.

While it is nice, MP Prime has got to be considered the best of the decade.

Yeah, MP Prime is hands down, THE BEST transformer of the 2000's. City Commander is top 5 in my book however:thumbs2:

    Would have to agree.

Third-party products don't really make it onto my radar, but I know the CC armor is certainly well-liked. Not really a "grail" contender, though... to me that's something like the 2007 seeker set or some obscure Japanese exclusive/lucky draw kind of thing.

The '07 Botcon set is the "grail" of the decade. A lot of fans have MP Prime in some capacity, so I wouldn't call it a grail persay.

I consider ultra magnus plus add-on kit a "grail" because of how expensive he has gotten in the past year (increased by $50+) and how badly I want him!

I paid $3.50 for one set, and $5 for two others.

I love the Ultra Magnus vs Skywarp set but for Skywarp.

I don't think City Commander is by any means a grail piece of the decade. It's not even it's own figure but an add on to an existing one. It's marvelous, but by no means the best thing to come out in the last decade.

I guess if you don't own Magnus and the City Commander set...

Can't be a grail when I own it, I think.
