I was looking at how nice that Takara Buster Prime looks and thinking about getting one... then thing is... they are going for around $200 on e-bay.

Any chance those things are getting re-released, or know where I can buy one for a reasonable price?

I thought we would get a even better prime for DOTM but it is not going to happen... sighs...

We don't know if Buster Prime will be released in the future but Botcon is in a couple of weeks and Hasbro will probably reveal more info on upcoming figure releases.

Buster Prime will NEVER make it to the states as he currently exists.

Takara painted that sucker up the ASS to get it all shiny and spiffy, and that was reflected in his premium price. Hasbro's NOT going to do that, especially in light of the "simpler design direction" DotM took with its figures.

With several new Primes on shelves (both here and Japan), I'm doubtful Takara will rerelease it (and possibly effect sales of new product).

Best bet is to buy online, but at this point, the aftermarket has caught up. He was almost $100 upon his original release a year-ish ago, so I'd say anything less than $200 would be a great price.

as far as I know, that's the mold that they gonna use for that Jetwing Optimus Prime.
I'm not sure yet, but they modified the old movie Prime.

Not the same, they removed the swords, added new abs. And removed all the chrome and several paint apps.

^ Essentially just the first use of the ROTF mold with the mentioned changes. It sucks, but ah well.

I think the MA-21 beats the buster prime in looks, course I thought the first movie prime was the best of all the primes ever released.
