I was just wondering because he seems popular in TFP and Animated, but I've never seen him in the past TF shows, like G1 and Armada.

You know, technically they're all made-up characters. They were all made up at some point.

Except Hearts of Steel Mark Twain. He's based on real life Mark Twain.

But to answer your question, the Bulkhead you see in Animated and Prime is a relatively new version of the character, and first appeared in Animated, though there was a Transformer called Bulkhead in Energon, who had a different personality.

All characters are made up characters o.o

But yes, his character started with Animated.

Bulkhead is a brand new character created in Animated. I think at some point they will retcon him into G1 somehow, probably through the work of IDW, or Hasbro producing a Classics styled Bulkhead.

I always thought of Bulkhead as a Hound/Ironhide mashup similar to the way Hot Shot has character cues from both Bumblebee & Hot Rod.

Don't forget G1 Marvel UK Richard Branson, who was based on real life Richard Branson.

The first character to be called Bulkhead was in TF:Energon, however the character was very different from the Bulkhead characters in TFA & TFP.

Bulkhead is one of the three Animated Originals that have crossed over into other series, alongside Lockdown and Lugnut (Both of which are now considered G1 thanks to IDW and a weird 2-pack comic.)

I wouldn't mind that. Any of the Animated Trio would have my support.

I like Bulkhead in Animated and Prime. I wouldn't mind having him in G1 through IDW. I think Bulkhead has more validity than Drift.

I think I heard of him before Animated or Prime, but I can't remember where.

Wait, so if HoS Mark Twain is based on the real Mark Twain, does that mean he actually kicked Ravage's ass by blowing up a house? I knew the guy was hardcore, but DAYMN!:lol

And this is a bad thing...how? In all honesty I think he'd be pretty neat to be inducted into the HoF. Animated and Prime REPRESENT!

Energon. But the character wasn't in any way like the Bulkhead most people know, so he may as well be different.

Wasn't saying it was a bad thing. The trend has been when there's a thread about a character we mention the HOF. I'd be all for Bulkhead in the Hall.

I'm curious. How does not being in G1 equate to being a made-up character? The other shows are as official as G1.

He's been in Energon like people said but the modern incarnation of the character started in Animated and then got an overhaul for Prime.

Bulkhead was originally from TF Energon. He looks nothing like and acts nothing like TFA and TFP Bulkheads though
