I don't know much about computers and coding so I don't know how to take this info but here it is. http://www.psu.com/BioShock-for-the-PS3-Confirmed,-Yet-Again--a1012-p1.php
It's quite likely this is inherent to the Unreal engine given that it's multiplatform. But here's hoping anyway.
Chances are it'll hit PS3 at some point, it's a Take 2 game plus the conversion will hopefully be easy, but then the current rumour (with lots and lots of evidence from developers to back it up) is that the Unreal Engine is ASS on PS3 with title after title using it delayed... apart from the latest Unreal XD
I'm saying no, the 360 version is tagged with the "only on" label. One of the sites brought up how UT 2004 has .ini files for the original Xbox. I do agree with Joe, if you don't have a 360 but have a PC that could handle it I'd highly recomend it.
A lot of games have had that tag on and moved to other formats. It means very, very little unless it's published by Microsoft themselves.
Yeah, I gotta agree with Twin Twist on this one. Its pretty up in the air right now. Plus there have been plenty of times when exclusives have only been timed exclusives.
I don't recall any ever going to a competing platform though. Its marked Only on 360 and Windows on the 360 cover.
I trust Twin Twist's opinion, he knows things about stuff and junk When I posted this I was pretty much ready to take what he had to say on the subject. I figured it didn't sound too crazy, it is not a game made by Microsoft, and I recall a few scenarios where a game is exclusive to one platform for a year or so then hits the other console, the GTAs or Splinter Cell come to mind for the last generation. It's not like we are talking about Halo showing up on PS3, that is a completely ridiculous idea. I am not a fanboy, I just happen to have a PS3 and not a 360, I honestly would prefer less exclusives and let people make their choices based on what hardware and first party games they like best.
It's not like I have any insider knowledge on anything, just looking at Take 2's track record plus the developer issues with the unreal SDK on PS3... you're looking at a delay. If it's successful on the PC and 360, it'll get there in the end
This news might be a little old, but a few months back, Gamespot reported that the game would be coming to PS3 after its release on 360 and PC. Though how long that would be is anyone's guess.
It can't hurt, and in the end its just that many more people that'll be able to play a fantastic game.
