I bought one of the Superion KO sets from the Dollar Store a couple years ago, and it sucked. I also bought the upsized WST Prowl KO from Big Lots, and it, too, sucked a big one. Not sure if that has any bearing on the Big Lots Devy or not :lol

Kay bee had these jets back in the day. Not good quality at all,
but they were unique, not ko's as I recall. Definitely not duocon
    ko's but similar in concept.

I guess i expected something I could fix up like I did devastator. Ive been trying to post a pic of my work in progress. Hopefully this works. This is halfway through painting and before reprolabels....

I made a thread on this a while back, but I think everyone's giving the exact same answers: Good for display, bad for play.

I've yet to get one, though. But since my DOTM want list has gotten short, he shall be mine very soon. :ev:

I bought the yellow ko from biglots today. Very impressed with the alt modes. Toke it out of the box and transfored each into the robot modes. Straight crap. Then I did the combined mode. And wow, a few flaws aside this combined mode is wonderful for an $8 devastator display piece.

I've already cut the heads off 2 bots and I'm going to spray paint mine with testors sublime green and hand paint the black, purple, and silver details. Once done I think this guy will be a nice display piece in either the alt or combined modes. I'm going to forget the subpar individual bot modes exist.

As another poster said... this guy is worth whatever extra time and effort you put into him to fix his flaws.

I never had a G1 Devastator, so I'm considering buying this. Eventually, I may try to tighten/modify any joints and such as I see fit, paint it up in Contructicon green + purple, and then buy the CrazyDevy parts for it.

Anybody have experience with the CrazyDevy parts and this KO?

The leg connectors doesn't fit. The slot for the leg bots is too small for the larger KO toys

I see. Well, if that's the biggest issue, I could maybe find some way to work that out.

    Thanks for the tip.

If you want, you can ask one of us here at the boards to go and get a set for you. I could grab one for you and ship it out for Cost + Tax + S&H if you'd like.

The Yellow Devastator ("Quick Change", correct size) is available at Big Lots. Picked up one to compare size (same size as my G1 Green KO). Quality is better than my Green KO for display, no die cast. It's only $8. ALSO available at Big Lots is the complete set of Protectobots (didn't grab it bc the only combiners i like are Devs and Bruticus). Took a photo and sharing here...

Big Lots also has these interesting LARGE constructicon-like robots which would be fantastic for making a custom Devastator. Didn't pick up so looking online to see if anyone has taken pics already.

Here is a pic of one of them LARGE constructicon-like dudes. Getting the "curiousity cosby" in me and might pick up but have to control my addiction to plastic crack, LOL!
