Seems like every online retailer is shipping to the US with the plug. Any options out there. I want to place an order but like most I want it Unaltered.

Are there any good ebay sellers that I can count on?

Only time will tell if US retailers can get the unaltered version. E-bay may be the only way.

I think that if the Hasbro safe version is a mass release at Walmarts, Targets, etc. of the figure with just an orange plug and stripe on the figure, most of us will be fine with it because we can easily return it to it's intended form. But, if the Hasbro safe release ends up being a neon monstrosity, it will not sell and we will all end up getting this on Ebay. I really do not understand how Star Wars guns get through with no problems and Megatron, which does not fire anything, is clearly an adult collector's item and more robot than gun, has all of these problems.

I'll be going to ebay...that does bring up another concern....sellers telling you they shipped your package, and saying it probably got stuck in customs, when they didnt send anything at all. ALOT of people are going to end up getting screwed by unscrupulous sellers.

Megatron looks much more like a real weapon than the star wars ones do.

Once again, before Americans start getting anxious that they can just buy an unmodified version from a Canadian seller, remember that we can't necessarily ship it into the States any easier than someone from Asia can. It's still a gun and we're no more immune from US Customs opening our outbound packages than anyone else. Just because places like Ages Three & Up say they'll send to the States, it doesn't mean it'll succesfully work all of the time.

You should be notified by customs if they confiscate your shipment.

Buy it from a Canadian dealer or get a friend in Canada to send you one. You'll be fine. Customs rarely checks packages from Canada, and despite what our fandom's professional know-it-all will no doubt tell you, few if any customs agents care about toy robots enough to rip open your package and transform it into gun mode, if they even are aware that your robot transforms into a gun. Megatron is not on a terrorist watchlist for them to be on the look out for.

Hasbro is only concerned over legal responsibility they might have as co-owner of the TF brand should some retard give their child a $100 Megatron toy and get himself shot mouthing off to a cop four months before their movie hits.

As a toy robot, this is a non issue in any US state. As a toy gun it is only illegal to sell it non-capped in California, New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut or Massachusetts. Replica guns, even ones that fire blanks, are not illegal in most US states.

It took me three seconds to find three dealers of replica guns. All in the US. All selling blank firing or non-firing (like Megatron) replica guns perfectly legally.

I ordered From Fan to Fan. Ryan said no altering but did offer to Ship the toy in Robot Mode seperately from the Empty box, which would be shipped and marked as an empty box if someone didn't mind one being MIB and 2 shipments. Since I am opening mine anyway I was okay with that.
