I'm totally willing to accept that I may be the only collecter in North America thats not interested in this figue but I thought I'd create the thread to ask the question anyway. I'm sticking with seeking out G1 stuff I want until the new classics come out late next year. Yeah I might bite on an animated figure or two along the way as well........................

Too many Starscreams already

I already bought some movie Starscreams for my girlfriend :
Movie Fast Action Battlers Starscream
Movie Voyager Starscream
I also bought the repaints :
Movie Voyager Thundercracker.
another repaint is Fast Action Battlers Ramjet.
I don't feel like buying anymore jets.
I am still undecided on whether to buy the Animated toys which also has Starscream.
Too many toys of the same character makes me want to scream already.
There are more things in heaven and earth than just these same few Transformers characters all the time.

 

I'm not particularly interested in it, either. It looks nice and all, but I'm not really a Starscream fan and there are better places to spend $50.

 

I'm considering buying one but I'm not hunting it down. There aren't any Walmarts in New York City (thank God). My family goes to them back west pretty often, so I told them to keep an eye out but if I cant get it it's no big deal.

 

I'm not interested because I already have the Takara version... (MP-03) I spent money wisely and I don't buy same mould/mold or repaints.

It's sort of interesting that you're not interested, and yet you're seeking out G1 molds and waiting for more Classics... while MP Starscream (the US edition) is a sort of brilliant re-rendering of G1 Starscream. It seems like it would be right up your alley.  

Reasons I could see for not being interested might be:

-not liking to buy expensive items... though at only $50 US, it's pretty damn affordable, especially from the perspective of a Canuck who's gotten used to the obscene mark-up on TFs in Canada.

-perhaps not liking figures that are too big or that don't fit into the rough scale of the mainstream toyline.

I'm not even a huge Starscream fan, but the seeker design has always been a pretty nice one, and this figure does a great homage to a classic.

It's not that I'm not interested... it's just that I'm not gonna go on a hunt for him.

But like if I'm in wal-mart and I happen to have the money on me then I'm probably gonna buy him, I think he looks cool and I love the 20th DVD Anniv. Prime!

 

Ya, everything you said.   $50 US but $80 to $100 to get one around me. Scale is too big(I don't have MP Prime either). Its not so much G1 molds but G1 toys I'm a little behind on that I'm seeking out.
Also with Christmas upcoming I'm sure a lot of people need money for that most wonderful time of the year.

 

The toy company should avoid exclusives to make it easier for collectors. I also missed Target exclusive Voyager Robo Vision Optimus Prime and I just gave up bec. I don't even know if it will be restocked or not. It is expensive and time consuming to go to Walmart so any Walmart exclusive is also very difficult for me and I will probably just give up. Everyone in my area also had a hard time finding the Best Buy exclusives even though many were in line in the morning on release day. Sometimes I suspect the toy company is working with the scalpers or I suspect the toy company is also selling on Ebay maybe to make more money. I just don't feel like feeding the scalpers bec. they are taking advantage of toy addicts.

 

I'm not, but that's because I've become uninterested in the toy aspect of the franchise in general. I love looking at galleries online and hearing what's coming out, but not interested enough to buy any of em. So, hey, more for you guys!

 

Honestly, I'm not all that interested in it. Yeah, if I happen to run into it, I'll buy it. But I'm not going out of my way to look for it. I had no interest in MP-03 in the first place.

 

Me too. I got MP3 Greenscream and it's alright.
I'm still waiting for a true Masterpiece Starscream though, one that can be repainted/retooled into all 6 original seekers.

 

I'm not buying 1.

 

I'm more interested in the Target exclusive, Deep Space SS. So, sue me.
