Is he worth it? I've been really hooked on the animated toy line, and he looks good, but I'm not so happy about his arm not shooting out his wrecking ball thing..

 

He is an awesome toy...the innaccuracy that comes from the lack of wrecking ball, the guns and the stupid buzzsaw is more than made up for by a great transformation, great articulation and it's scale accuracy.

Yes he is worth it.

 

I can highly recommend it - he's quite an imposing size, and the electronics (and Headmaster) top it off.

totally worth it, a very fun figure, and the headmaster adds even more fun....expecially in vehicle mode....bulkhead becomes.....the Ownagemobile

He's pretty awesome. The lack of show accuracy is offset by how awesomely fun the guy is.

 

Absolutely. I got him for $20 at Toys-R-Us' website last week, but now they've marked him back at $40. He is definitely worth full price though. I just got the Voyager yesterday and while it is cool version of the character I still prefer the Leader.

I've seen him and bought Megatron instead, but it was a REALLY tough call. Leader Bulkhead look's great, but VERY show-innaccurate, however, the Voyager is nice and show accurate, despite scale differences.

 

Personally, I like the leader toy better than the voyager. There's the size, and it just looks better to me overall. I see the show accuracy thing as a more debatable point, where the voyager has the edge on the broad strokes (general proportions, weapons) while the leader is closer in a more detail-oriented sense.

 

I think the size of the Leader makes him more show-accurate than the Voyager, unless your collection is mostly of Legends and Activators. As for whether he's worth it... hells yes. I don't have Ultra Magnus for comparison, but I'd take him over Leader Megatron any day. He's an excellent, solid Transformers with a real rarity in his design: non-intrusive electronics. Unless you want to argue that the gun turret on vehicle mode is a problem, which I guess it could be, but... it isn't to me.
