I love scans_daily... no interest in the slash, but a good place to find interesting character stuff or just comedy. Acts as a good advert for some series.

For my comic comedy I prefer Superdickery.com. The whole slash thing is really not pleasant unless you're gay or a girl.

Or are straight but actually have a sense of humour -- works for me, anyway. Cape books are a genre that's largely about big strapping blokes dressing up in body-condoms...

Even a drunken Iron Man joke in there.

Is this from a real comic? If so, which series? And is that series full of ridiculous comedic situations like this?

Yep, it's from the last arc of X-Statix formerly X-Force. The Avengers fight X-Statix for parts of Doop. Screwy doesn't even begin to describe it.

X-Force had so much potential, once upon a time. then it went to crap in the space of a few issues, and I never bothered with it again.
    Looking at X-Statix, I'm glad I didn't.

I'm neither and I find it hilarious, more often than not. Their one-panel "No Context For You" posts are total chuckles. :D

Sadly, you are right. Once it went from X-Force to X-Statix, it lost some of ut's luster. Also, people weren't dying every issue. That was what made the first arc so much fun. The entire debut team from page 1 died. Tike was actually brought in a little later.
