I swear I read on a toy bio somewhere for Aligned Ironhide that he had an Australian-ish accent. Anybody remember where that was from?
Wasn't aware they talked of it either... Eehhhh...I prefer his original, or movie verse voice...Aussie doesn't sound right for him heh.
Cybertron Jetfire's accent is mentioned in his bio, I believe. Something about "after spending an extended period of time on [insert alien planet here], Jetfire acquired their dialect or ...something...something...". Paraphrased, of course. As for an Australian accent with Ironhide, I don't think he's ever had one. But I can dig it if it were to happen. I always imagined future versions of him with an Australian accent sounding like the massive elephant seals from Happy Feet 2, with their really thick accents. I don't know, I just think "that'd make a great Ironhide" whenever I hear that song. It's just got that "tough and hardened Australian rancher"-vibe. This. I wish characters trying their hardest to capture their former G1 look in appearance would do the same with voice. I don't mind new voices/accents happening, I just find it silly when this is the ONE thing that gets changed when everything is an updated G1 look Movie Iron Hide didn't bother me one bit, as he wasn't trying to be G1 Iron Hide, the same goes for Jetfire, Starscream and everyone else too. WFC is an interesting mix of old and new, wish HMS would make up its mind and firmly plant their foot down. Seeing that Cybertronians have the ability to learn languages via the Internet, why not have them pick up and change their voices from time to time? It sort of fits the whole robots in disguise tagline they run under
I should be in bed, but now you got me listening to Australian-accented elephant seals singing Rawhide. I don't know if I should hate you or thank you.
You might be thinking of Cybertron Jetfire, who's Cyber-Key-Code-unlocked bio on the official Transformers website explain his new Australian accent in the Cybertron cartoon by noting that he had picked it up while vacationing on Nebulos in between series.
Nebulos. Which means that everyone in Marvel Headmasters now sounds Australian. Best accidental retcon ever.
