My wife had a meeting pretty far away from home, and I said "baby, I'll meet you out there so we can have dinner afterwards," which was code for "baby, I'm going to spend all day hitting random TJMaxx stores in hopes of scoring unreleased Iron Man figures to finish my collection."

By the way, I have a spare Reactor Shift Iron Man...guess I bought a second by accident in my fit to grab anything in the new packaging. If anyone ends up finding the ones I need, I will gladly trade!

 

Here's a look at the new armors. I know many people are "ironed" out and not necessarily interested in these, but I'm digging them.

Hell, I put the Mark V back, because I already had two different takes on the figure...until I realized he came with the 3.75" suitcase. I have the handcuffs from G.I.Joe Renegades Law & Order...not I just need a Tony Stark, or a Happy Hogan to handcuff the case to.

I think this batch of armors has some of the best designs from the entire line.I just hope I can find some more of them.

I also had the Mark V in my hand and put it back just because I have the other versions.I just didn't feel like paying $6 for the suitcase.I might be regretting that decision.I had the Exosphere Armor in my hand and put that one back also.Definitely regretting that decision.Hopefully it's still there this weekend.

 

Hit another TJ Maxx today and picked up the Inferno Armor.I love the look of the translucent plastic on this one.I think other than that darn Hammer Drone,I've seen all the figures from this wave now.

I've got another store to hit tomorrow yet.

 

Is there any difference with the Mark V aside from the suitcase?

Went to another TJ Maxx and all I ended up getting was the Exosphere Armor Iron Man.I'm starting to think that I'm never going to see the ever elusive Hammer Drone.I don't know if these will get re-stocked again.

 

The Mark V in the Armored Avenger line is a darker silver and features the head mold used in the Target Exclusive 3-Pack that came with the Mark V, the Sea Assault Drone, and Electric Whiplash. The face basically has the more accurate panel lining. I still think the Mark V from the 3-Pack was the best, but this does have a grittier/used feeling to it...plus the suitcase.

Me too. All I need is the Hammer Drone, Power Charge War Machine, and Artillery Armor War Machine. If anyone wants to trade, I have the following available: Shield Breaker Iron Man, Inferno Armor Iron Man, Subterranian Armor Iron Man, Storm Surge Iron Man, Reactor Shift Iron Man, and just about everything else from the Iron Man 2 line available for trade (except the Mandarin). I just want to complete this line. Bad.

So far I've only found the new figures at TJMaxx. I've tried Marshalls and Ross, but I only see the older Iron Man 2 figures.

Also, start checking Ollies! They have the unreleased Thor figures too! I found a King Laufey yesterday! All I need is Sif, King Loki, and Heimdall now!

 

So I found a Reactor Shift Iron Man at TJMaxx. I didn't even know this thing existed, but it looked really cool (even if his right hand did get messed up a bit in the packaging). I still need to touch up some of the gold and silver on him, but I really like him! Not sure if I like the Mark IV or Mark VI more, though.

Found another Sonic Storm Armor to replace my broken one. Open the package to find the arm broken. Must be the brittle transparent plastic they used.

Hopefully I can figure out a way to dissect both figures to make one good one.

 

i wish they released a normal 6" mark v in the armored avenger line instead of that stupid gold and black repaint.

 

Recently got a Marvel Select Iron Man mark VI

 

I'm assuming you missed the Walmart Exclusive Mark V from Iron Man 2 then? I think I've seen a few at a Walmart about an hour away. I can check the next time I'm out that way if you'd like.

I just sold my Mark IV and War Machine on eBay. They were nice...loved the paint applications they went with, but decided to focus more on the 3.75" line. I loved the fact that the face-plates could be removed and placed on their heads...despite the holes that were left when they were in place.

I'm about to drop my run of 6" Iron Man figures on the boards/eBay. Got a whole bunch...Marvel Legends / Iron Man / Iron Man 2.

 

Caved and bought the remaining three Armored Avenger figures on eBay. Had like $12 in eBay Bucks to spend, so I figured, why not?

So, my collection is finally complete! Can't wait to get them in the mail!
