What? Nobody else has done this yet?

    Okay brief synopsis:

Tony Stark heads to Japan to finish construction/bring online a new ARC reactor for "limitless and free power".

He's also announcing that he's retiring as Iron Man (I guess it's public in the version) and launching a new "mass-produced" series called Ironman Dio. (or just "Dio" most of the ep.)

But we all know Tony's just too big of a show boater to not test drive the Dio just once. This kinda rankles his "cadets" a bit and seems to confuse the public if he really IS going to retire. (not hard to figure folks,,, is it?)

Anyway the Dio armor has a glitch, Tony crashes, then while the cadets are running tests the Dio gets "hacked" and runs amok. (they're gonna need more test pilots I think).

I think I'll keep what happens next for spoilers because:
1.) I didn't quite get what happend next
    2.) I'm not fully versed in IronMan's Rouge's Gallery
3.) I was kinda washing dishes when the commercial ended,,, oops.

So I'll just go with the overview of what I've seen so far.

    Freakin' gorgeous!

    Now some backstory.
Marvel wanted to do some anime series based on their properties. They farmed out the work to some top-shelf companies in Japan. Japanese culture really doesn't have a "Tony Stark" type personality. So it's interesting to see the writers/artists try to wrap their minds around the concept. He comes off a little slimy sometimes and other times very American. But it's also very alien and yet at the same time true to the character.

So it will be very interesting to see down the road how this character continues to be interperted. (as opposed to the teen centric other IronMan show, or new avengers.)

One other note, this series seems directly tied into the Iron Man movie-verse (the intro had the Mark-1 armor escaping a desert cave and his house, from what we can see of it, looks like the house from the movie) So there's that.

Sorry it's a crap review, but I'm suprised nobody else did it yet.
I'd also do a Wolverine review but the baby just woke up. So duty calls.

The anime came out in japan almost a year ago, and most people watched the subbed version. Wolverine and x-men already came out as well. The blade anime is 1/2 way done in japan currently. The only difference is this one is dubbed. Plus most people were watching thundercats.

Yeah this wasn't great, and Wolverine was even worse. X-Men started off really good but managed to fizzle out toward the end (apart from the excellent cameos in the last episode). Blade has been the best so far though.

How is the dub for Iron Man though?

Not bad. I thought it was better done than Wolverine actually.

Yeah I lasted for two episodes when it came out last year. It had potential, but it totally fizzled.
