How are they?!
He'll tell you tomorrow.
You can get this for about $69 shipped per set if you look at the BST.
Not sure what action robot charges for shipping but it's another option for you...
I lol'd... but in all fairness, the "review tomorrow" comment was made yesterday.. so it's a fair question from NOCV.
And I can respect that. Kudos, Grievlocke.
EDIT: Sorry for the delay, it was finished yesterday (held private until just now), but I was busy helping out the Madhaus Toys and Ages Three & Up crew who are crashing with me a couple days and had to deal with a lot of other things for some other companies who are sending stuff to my place in prep for TFcon this week. LOTS of cool things that I'm reviewing that will go live once the con opens.
Here's my review:
Quote or @ me if you have any questions.
Thanks Henry! I think you may have sold me on these.
I'd love to see what the combiner feet look like tabbed together, wheels out, AND with the toes rotated 180 degrees. I'm thinking that that toe swivel isn't for articulation but for transformation into kibble vehicle. It looks like when rotated, they might form a nice even flat top with the rest of the feet.
Great review, thanks for showing them off.
I think my biggest complaint would be that I pre-ordered a set and have to wait until all five are out until I'm shipped any of them.
I really like their transformations, especially the way Swindle's roof is formed. I like their difference in height in robot mode, and I kind of wish that carried into vehicle mode as well but it works. It's also awesome to hear that not only are the combiner knees tight, they're also ratchet joints.
So Bruticus can have rollerskates...
That amuses me.
Even better... rollerBLADES
Slag and Sludge have really big forearms that make their hands look small. DX9 could've beefed their fists up a little and kept the 3mm hole though. Swoop's hands are perfect size for him, and his forearms are a more regular shape and size.
I just got their Soundwave today and his hands look much more proportionate, like their Seekers are.
My Optimus and Megatron both have larger 5mm hands that I don't mind though. I think they fit them better because they're bigger, bulkier figures. I think the bigger hands work good on Brawl here, but look disproportionately larger on Swindle.
Like you said, it's all personal aesthetic. I'm glad there's both options and that the difference isn't really all that noticable between the two.
I'll try to get a picture later, but I don't think that's how it works because there are some fold out pieces that look like ramps on the toes when faced normally. I think I didn't include that take because I messed up on something else, and rotating the toes leaves a gap between them which doesn't make much sense.
I haven't done a livestream in a while and since I'll have a bunch of cool stuff this week, I might just do a livestream Q&A for a bunch of things I have on hand.
Thanks for that! I cannot wait to get these in hand! Every time I see them I can't contain myself, they look amazing.
Regardless of what anyone says, the price point will -ALWAYS- be worthitto me.
Is Iron Factory gonna release a full box set after this instead of 3 separate boxes?
Please, Yes to a Gift Set!!!! Thank you
This monster's on display at TFCon in DC I confirmed ratchets on Bruticus' knees, hips, shoulders and elbows.
Now convince them to break it down and put the damn kibble vehicle together!
Already left, sorry. From what I can tell it looks like some sort of anti-aircraft cannon.
Separate names with a comma.
