Hi everyone. I'm going to get an MP3 player, but I'm not sure which one of these I should grab. Price wise, the models I'm looking at are equal. I can't really tell much difference. I know lots of you have Ipods, and I'm hoping lots have Zunes. What do you all think? Thanks.

Get on CNET and read some reviews and find what works best for the features you're looking for.

Personally, I have an iPod, before they got all fancy with videos and pictures and color screens, and it works fine for me. Lot of people on here have iPods, a lot have Zunes, a lot have other products. Just depends on what you're looking for.

Just one note - don't listen to the people who say you can't copy music off of an iPod. They're uneducated folks who haven't done enough reading.

Yup. Windows Explorer (or CopyPod) FTW.
Personally I am very happy with my iPod. However I second Jux's opinion here; look up reviews on both and decide which is better suited to your needs.

Man, I'd hate to see the size of an old-time PS3

You can't play Super Mario Galaxy on an iPod.

Personally I have had both. While I liked the Zune, and it did almost everything I wanted it to do, it failed in one department.

The FM Transceiver and my Factory Stereo had to go. So when I was doing my homework and picking a new head unit for my car, Ipod was the only game in town for Direct Control from the Head Unit. Eventually I got an Ipod and This:

^That's about the only reason I'd get an iPod; I haven't had a car with a decent audio in jack yet, so I don't know how that compares to a data interface like you've got.

I've been happy with both Creative flash players I've owned. Not as much space as a hard drive model, but I'm in the habit of dropping them or pumping static through them and they just take it and keep going.

I have been happy with my Zune and I'm looking forward to the new firmware update when the 80gb versions go on sale. That said, I'd compare features and see which has more of what you want. They've both got their good points. Personally I like the bigger screen and durability of my Zune.

I second the Creative Vision M. EVERYTHING is literally better on it. (I've owned, and have been disappointed with every generation iPod I've ever owned. The batteries barely last a year...and I've gone through 4 models!)

I'm not bashing the iPod, I've just been disappointed everytime I gave Apple a chance. My fiance owns one and loves it.

Style wise, the iPod wins, and as far as third-party support...Apple wins hands down...but if you grade the two players side by side ALONE...Creative Vision M wins!

I don't really care, I just wanted to be the first to make the assinine suggestion of getting something he wasn't interested in like happens in every single one of these threads.

I can't really compare the two as I have not owned an Ipod but I do love my Zune and can whole heartedly recommend that piece of equipment.

Hey don't joke man, I actually saw a student walking around a major college campus the other day with an old school Walkman with the wire headband headphones.
