I was going to say that yes, you should line up and go for it in the morning, buuuuuut... I remembered that the 3GS is pretty much only a minor hardware upgrade. 3G owners are still getting the 3.0 upgrade, so alot of people will be happy to keep their old tech... however... Apple fans are everywhere, and people who just like to just keep their tech up to date, so there will be line ups...

I dunno... I think it would be a safe bet to go early, just so that you can secure one.

If it's any indication ATT is completely sold out of pre ordered phones.

I went there this morning. No line at all. The sales guy said they sold 12 not including mine.

that's not bad...our local store has had a group of 5 or 6 camped out since wednesday at 7pm...and they did the same thing last year too...but whatever...i don't see it as a drastic upgrade...and it makes sense too, since people who got the 3g within the last year aren't eligible for the discount price unless they bought it between june and sept most people are just keeping their 3g... AT&T sucks out here, otherwise i'd have a phone...you gonna sell off your 3g?

Wow after finally getting a chance to play with the 3Gs compaired to my 3G it really is a nicer phone. Its alot quicker, GPS is better with the blue dot always facing up on the phone, The Voice com. is nice but could use a little more tweaking but I am more impressed with the speed more than anything.

I really love the 3G-S. The addition of a video camera is a very nice touch, and not to mention the voice recognition software but, If you already own an iPhone 3G, don't get this because, if you already have the iPhone 3G, it's is kind of a waste of money. (I mean that in the nicest of ways!)

I picked up a 3GS today to replace my 3G and I got to say that it's much more snappy than the 3G. Plus it really only cost 100 because I sold my 3G for 316.00 on eBay. Not bad for a fairly cheap upgrade
