Hey, I need some help here. My friend loves teasing me about the fact that my iPad is now "outdated" and stuff, what with the new iPad 2 coming out. He's since offered to buy this iPad off me, if I get a new iPad 2. So my question is, should I, and how much can I expect to get for a 64gb Wifi + 3G IPad? I bought it early December last year if that means anything.

Also, if I do sell this one, thus making sure to delete everything first, and get an iPad 2, can I transfer my apps to the new one or do I need to purchase them all over again?

Thirdly, the iPad I'm typing this on vie kept in a keyboard case I bought in Hong Kong. Does anyone know if iPad 2 actually fits in the old cases, or not? Otherwise, should sell the case? It connects via the docking port, so even if the iPad two doesn't fit, I can still connect is as a keyboard, so I'm not su if I should sell it along with the iPad.

Help? I do want to upgrade, but only if i can get a good price for this one...

Back up your ipad with itunes and then restore the new one with the old one's back up. You wont lose anything. The old sleeves dont fit because the new one is thinner but carrying cases work fine.

might have to set your apps to load onto the device, but as long as you have everything backed up in iTunes you should be fine.

    Haaaaaaaang on.
He keeps teasing you about your iPad being out of date, and yet he's perfectly happy to take it off your hands? Does that really sound right to you...?
I'd hang onto it until you find a decent reason to upgrade, not because your "friend" is trying to persuade you to sell it to him cheap.

Hold onto your old iPad for now. They're going for $100 off their original retail price on the Apple Store, even less if you buy refurbished. Unless you need the added RAM (for gaming) or camera you should be ok with the old one. At least wait to get an iPad 2 before you sell the old one, since they're in short supply still.

The new one is very nice, but I waited to buy this over the 1st iPad. (My first Apple product since my old B&W clicky-wheel iPod.)
